I have already purchased a 5 day ticket for WDW but have not used any of it. I am now thinking that I would like to stay an extra day. Do I get the discounted price for having a longer stay or would I have to pay the full price of a one day ticket? I'm not sure how to go about this.

You can upgrade your ticket to add a 6th day as long as it isn't entirely used up or expired. The price to upgrade will be the difference between the current 6-day ticket for your dates and what WDW charged for the same 5-day ticket you have at the time you purchased it.
