Buying an AP

I need to figure out the best way to buy a Power Pass Annual Pass for someone. I have a Preferred AP. Would I be better buying the AP when I arrive, preordering online, or buying a standard park pass and upgrading it to an AP? Is there any real difference in money? I know I'm supposed to get a discount when buying park tickets but it always seems to be a wash with the online pre-purchase. I feel like I'm missing something ;-) Any help or advice appreciated!

There's no additional discount given on APs since they are already discounted. You can order it online and use the Will Call kiosk to pick it up...that would save some time from standing in lines when you arrive. But you will need to have the credit card used and confirmation number at the kiosk.
