Buying an annual pass

i assume that unless you have a voucher to exchange for the AP, you'll have to pay for parking...
otherwise, everyone could just say -"oh,i'm going in to buy an AP"...
however, perhaps they refund the fee when you buy your AP, i don't know...

we always go to DTD our first day there to buy our APs..

Yes you do have to pay for parking on your first visit.

If you buy your AP at downtown disney you won't have to pay for parking. You could do it on your way to the parks and save $14. You can buy it at Guest Relations in the market place area of downtown Disney.

If you bring your parking receipt with you, you will be reimbursed you when you buy your AP.

Or you can get the AP at DTD or one of the water parks; none of which charge for parking.

Presume you are not staying on a disney resort - cuz then your theme park parking is free. Its just that a lot of people buy an annual pass in order to get a discount on their disney hotel stay- but guess you are not doing this?

Either way - i'd ask anyway at the car park toll, they are usually very accomodating, as long as you can convince them somehow?

The other idea about buying in advance at downtown disney is a good one, or even online before you go.
