Buying a Watch on the Wish

I don't have experience on the Wish; however, my husband bought my engagement ring and a bracelet on the Fantasy. Our room was flagged coming off the ship and had to show the receipts to customs. I don't remember how much we had to pay but it wasn't much; I just remember going through every suitcase to find the receipts because I couldn't remember which one I packed it in.

Bought a bracelet on the Wish for about $15k. We were told it was tax free- but there sure was duty. I think we paid another $1100 or so after the exemptions were applied.

And yes, when we went to leave the ship and scanned our key to the world card, we were immediately flagged and sent right to a customs agent.

For purchases made on the ship, the seller will report it to customs (I've seen this happen on Disney ships), so definitely don't try it!

Oh I wouldn't, trust me. Doubt I'll ever sail Disney again anyways.
