Buying a US sim card

I need to keep my mobile with me THe UK tarrifs are all expensivie, does anyone know how much it was could to buy a US pay as you go sim card?

I have also been looking at this and found the following site:

They do T-Mobile US SIM cards for £19.99 inc postage and they say 125 free minutes. Not used them, but I am tempted for this year. Anybody out there done this?
