Anyone know anything about Fun Finders? We found a nice used 2007 FunFinder 250BHS at a local dealer - very nice inside (white cabinets, wood floor and red interior). It is a little on the small side being 25 feet but among the smaller we have found w/ a bunk house. (We want to keep the tt weight at 5000 or below to allow room for us and all our stuff). My hubby likes the size for ease of towing, especially when we hit the mountains at some point.

It looks like either the dealer or the previous owner strippped down the standard TV and radio. Also noticed what looks like water damage over the master bed area (some discoloration and rippling of the ceiling). The salesguy said it looks like some water may have leaked in but assured us it was fixed and would no longer be a problem. We are a bit concerned about that also....

Otherwise, what TT do you like under 5000 w/ a bunkhouse?

No way would I buy one with water damage. There may be hidden damage that could cause major problems down the road. If the dealer is willing to put it in writing that the water damage has been totally fixed and offer a warranty I might consider it. Otherwise, I would keep looking.

I agree. There are so many TT's available, that I would move on from one with evidence of water intrusion. Who knows what damage resides hidden from view within the ceiling. RV's can get REAL spongy, REAL quick after water intrudes. You don't want to deal with rot and mold.

Well I would not rule out a leaking camper. If you have the skills and knowledge to repair it this could be a great deal maker. My issue is a 2007 with this issue.

I agree with never buying a unit with water damage. We've been there/done that. They can be very hard to locate and a pain to repair. There are many units out there, so I wouldn't settle on this one.

So the ceiling has staining and rippling and the salesman says some water "may" have leaked in? I'd say it definitely leaked and the fact that a 3 year old trailer already has roof leaks isn't very re-assuring. Are you going to trust the salesman that the problem has been corrected? If they truely fixed the problem you would never have known it happened in the first place.

if there is ripples and discoloration then there may be mold...or worst black mold hidden, we had that happen on one of our TT's, the slide leaked, we fixed it ASAP had on damage that you could see but 6 months later we noticed mold around the seals :(

Look in RVTrader, you'll find what your looking for :):thumbsup2

The Forest River R-Pod has a model with bunks.

The only way this trailer would look good to me is in my rearview mirror as I was driving away as fast as possible.

Always remember, if an RV salesman's lips are moving the chances are he is lying:rolleyes1

We purchased our MH used from the gent who used to repair our tent trailer. He picked it up cheap from a guy who only used it to go tailgating KNOWING it had a water leak. We watched him have to dismantle the entire roof, sides and interior to repair/replace the damaged caused by that water:eek:Even knowing it was fixed the right way, DW and I still check the coach constantly for fear of new leaks, etc.
