I'm not sure if anyone can or wants to answer these questions but I figured I'd give it a shot.

If someone buys property at Vero Beach at 60/point from The Timeshare Store, can't those same points be used at OKW? I guess I'm a little confused why anyone would buy at $70/point at BWV when they can get the same points at $60.

I currently own at OKW and would love to add-on but still looking.

Thanks for the input!

Yes they can but.....

The maintenance fees at VB are much higher than at OKW.

There is no guarantee that you would be able to get a WDW reservation at 7 months out using VB points.

But they are not BWV points. If I could get "the same" points, they would be BWV points but just look at the resales, there really aren't that many BWV (or BCV and VWL) points that are available. The 11 month booking window is important, especially at the BWV that has standard view rooms and Boardwalk view rooms available. Both fill fast.

I was going to ask the same question, regardless of fees. If the 7 month window is not a big deal for you, might that not be better? What do the fees plus points at Vero come out to per point?

My other question is how often do you check the sites to see if there is a new listing? I was very disapointed last year when I got an email from a dealer saying they had some points I wanted. I responded by email that I was interested, and to hold them. This was late at night. When I called the next morning I was told I should have called instead, and that they don't check their email responses until later. I won't make that mistake again. But we really want to add on.
What do people suggest?

I suggest you call each of resalers and let them know exactly what you want and have them call you right away if it becomes available. Make a personal contact and check back from time to time. The really good contracts never see the light of day. All of the resalers that you see named on this board will be happy to talk to you in advance.

Good luck in your search. At least it sounds like you are patient. Many people are not and that usually ends up costing points and money.

Besides the fees of VB, HH and VB have a big disadvantage for use at WDW at the 7 month window. With all other resorts, you can reserve at 11 months at WDW then, if available, change over at the 7 month window. While you could reserve at 11 months for VB and HH, obviously this is not the same. Why complicate your life. If your goal is to stay at WDW, buy there. The price difference isn't enough to make it worth it. OTOH, if you want points at HH or VB AND to use them part time at WDW, do for it.
