Buying a Disney Gift Card

Hello everyone!

The hubby and I are looking into different options for purchasing two 2-day Park Hopper passes for our upcoming WDW trip. We usually buy our tickets at our local Disney Store, but the smallest ticket denomination they sell is 3 days. Because we want to avoid putting a lot of $$ on credit cards, we were thinking of buying Disney gift cards at the Disney Store in cash and then applying those gift cards when purchasing the tickets through the WDW website. Has anyone done this successfully or unsuccessfully?

Thanks in advance! :)

Disney gift cards can used to buy anything on Disney property. I use them.

You can practice right now. When you get to the payment screen, you'll see three payment options, including a Disney Gift Card. I'm not sure what the limit is on the number of gift cards allowed in a single transaction, so you might end up needing to buy each of your tickets in a separate transaction.

In a weird twist, Disney's corporate partners are given a special tickets link where they can buy tickets for 12% off, but can only pay with credit card or with a Disney Rewards Redemption Card, and not a Disney Gift Card. This is likely done to prevent people from stacking discounts, as most people who buy Disney tickets with Gift Cards buy the gift cards and get some sort of discount or perk when doing so.
