We've always had UPH before but have come to the conclusion we are not getting enough use from them to justify the cost so we are going with 5-day hoppers from AAA this time. Since I've never bought just the hoppers before, I'm not sure how they work as far as being 'park ready'. Do they have to be activated or are they ready for park admission when you get them? I'm used to the UPH being put on the room key & being all set to go so I'm a newbie with the hoppers.

The park hoppers are ready to use as soon as you get them.. They do not have to be activated like an AP.

They are park ready. When they are run through the machine for the first time, the magnetic strip records the day of entrance ... if you park hop you will put it through another machine and it knows that it is the same day.

We've always had PHP and there is no problem.

Don't forget to make a photocopy of the back of the tickets to keep in a separate place in case they get lost or stolen.

Thanks for such quick answers...absolutely amazing people here!

And thanks also for the reminder to photocopy them! *writing note to do that*
