Ok, what happens if I buy my Southwest tickets and then a GREAT Ding comes out, the flight is the exact same but better price.

How does that work? :confused3

Thanks!!

You can rebook the ding fare for the lower price. As long as it is the same price , flight and time they will reimburse you to your credit card if it is a different flight at a lower cost you have to take SW credit.

There is no charge to rebook SW is great about that. I think the last time I just booked the new flight and then called customer service to request a refund. That number was 214-792-4223.I know other people have rebooked with 2 windows but I wanted a refund not SW credit seeing that it was the same flight etc.Last year I chose a different flight that was cheaper and I changed it so I had to take a SW credit.Maybe someone else can tell you exactly how to get the refund and rebook on line. Sorry I couldn't be more help or call the number and ask what the best way to do it is. Good Luck!

No charge.

I can't answer the second part because I'm not sure if Ding prices are the same as those on the site.

Rebooking online is very easy. Just go to the main page and select the option "View or Change Your Flight." The site will lead you from there. It's one of the best things about SW.

In the past, we've rebooked when a lower fare comes up on their website...usually when they begin a Florida sale. We click on our reservation info, then clicked on "change this flight" to the new one, applying the airfare we'd already paid. Anything left over was kept as a SWA credit. HOWEVER, I can't figure out how to do this if a DING! fare is lower. It seemed you have to book directly through the DING! window, so how do you get your current fare transferred to it?

is special rates that Southwest offers but you have to go to their website and download it on your computer. then when a special happens, you're computer will "ding" and it will direct you to the special.

hope this makes sense. check it out on Southwest.com.
