We know that we want to go there during our vacation. But when we booked our trip, we didn't plan on going.

Is there any way to pre-pay for our Goofy's Kitchen and get that taken care of prior to our vacation?

I would love to have that $$ part over and done with and just be able to plan our priority seating when the time comes.

Will they let you do that when you plan the PS? Or is there any place online that will just let you buy tickets??

GAT sells advanced tickets for breakfasts, and they include tax and tip!!!

Do you have a link?? I would love to be able to get that taken care of! Thanks!!!

Oh - and could I buy now for March '09??

The link for those tickets is here. Just change the "type" to dining and then change the date to when you are going...

Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!!

(I never thought to check the dining link at the top - I guess I just thought it was restaurants in DL, not character dining. LOL)

:cool1:

I was playing around with the tickets on the GAT website and they charge a $10 "ticket only handling fee". :confused3

I saw that too. Not too terribly cool. Especially when it looks like you just pick your tickets up at the gate. If they mailed them out, I could see a $10 fee.

However, when you add in the savings, it is okay (no tip, no tax, PLUS you save the $$ on tickets).

I estimate our savings would be at least $20 when all is said and done ($5 off each ticket (minus the $10 svc fee makes that $5 off), plus no tip & tax).

Still worth it to pre-pay, IMO.

godale, i know that if you have used them in the past you can ask them to waive that fee they have for me quite a few times even for ticket only purchases......

I have never used them but that could be my angle for them waiving the fee!:lmao:

Also, where do you pick the vouchers up at? They don't mail them to you?

we got our vouchers at the ticket booth when i picked up our hoppers was easy just had to have my photo id

You pick the dining vouchers up at the ticket window or guest services (whichever line is shorter). They can issue them with your tickets if you don't have an AP.

Did you book a vacation? If so, you can ask the company you used to add character meal vouchers. Most will do it.

You can order the meal vouchers through WDTC, I think.

You can get them from this site as well but they aren't much of a savings, if any http://hotels.anaheimoc.org/1282_attraction-tickets_a18.html?ticketID=587

If you're a member, you can buy them through AAA. That's what I did and the prices were the cheapest I've seen, including getawaytoday. I ordered them through my local agency and the vouchers came in the mail. I am not sure you can do this outside of CA, though. You'd have to check. Their prices are $25.60/adult, $14.45/child for a character breakfast, $25.60/adult, $17.80/child for lunch/dinner at Ariel's, and I'm not sure what the price for the dinner at Goofy's is. They list it as an option but don't specifically list a price for dinner. Oh, those prices are good through Dec. 31. If you're going after the first of the year, the prices will likely be different.

ETA: the character breakfast includes Goofy's, Lilo & Stitch, Chip 'n Dale's, Minnie & Friends and I'm not sure about Ariel's as it isn't mentioned with the others

Are the vouchers cheaper than paying at the restaurant? Is Goofy's the best character meal???

In my opinion it is definitely the best. Other folks feel differently. Goofy's has a much better variety of food choices because all they do is character buffet all day long, whereas some of the other places only do buffet/character meals in the morning and then function as a 'regular' restaurant the rest of the day. In 16 years of eating at GK, there have maybe only been one or two 'off' days we have encountered where the food was not as good or the characters were slacking off. But usally, the food is fresh, delicious and bountiful, the beverages are quickly refilled, and the characters are very interactive. The usuals like Goofy, Chip and Dale and Pluto are always there. Baloo is usually there too. And then you get a bunch of 'guest stars' who pop in from other restaurants, and those could range from Beauty and the Beast characters to Aladdin characters to Alice in Wonderland, Gadget, Rafiki from Lion King, Meeko from Pocahontas, etc. You never know exactly who will pop in for a visit. My friend just took a picture of one of the princes at GK, but I am not sure which prince he was - maybe from Sleeping Beauty? I like the 'animals' or the 'villain' characters better than the 'people' characters or the princes and princesses, so I don't pay too much attention to princes when I see them!

so kinda OT...goofy's...breakfast or dinner...which one is better????

Again, only my opinion, but I strongly prefer the breakfast. It isn't that I disliked the dinner when I had it, but I thought the breakfast/brunch selections were better and more to my personal liking than the dinner stuff...not to mention CHEAPER! However, I know there are folks on DISboards who prefer the dinner. I guess it is all a matter of personal choice. All the food is kept fresh and replenished often, so that won't be a problem, but some folks may not like the specific items GK serves for dinner.
