Buy direct - transfer/bank exception?

I reached out to my guide but haven't heard back yet.

I have a September use year and a December use year. I am thinking about adding on points to my September use year.

If I add on now, I will get September 2022 points right?

Now I know they usually will make an exception and let you bank past your deadline. However I need those extra points in my December use year (long story - I messed up and all my December points are banked and cannot be transferred).

Do you think they will make an exception to let me transfer the points to my December use year and bank? Has anyone ever done this?

Yes, most likely.

I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to do? Are you wanting to transfer Sep UY points to your Dec UY membership? I'm confused what you are asking.

However, I will say that they often will do things that are supposedly not allowed. I once transferred already banked Sep UY points to my June UY membership which supposedly is not allowed. The MS rep on the phone just had to get permission from a supervisor and then they did it for me. So you can always ask for things, you can't always count on them though.

It never hurts to ask,

and buying more points direct tends to get them to open up the exceptions book….

I have also had them make a few exceptions, i think it really depends on what you are asking for, as much as how many times you have asked for things

My understnding is that you want to add points to your September use year. If Disney has 2022 September use year points in invenory and you purchase before the end of August, you will get 2022 use year points.

Those 2022 use year points will be considered CURRENT use year points until 8/31/2023. Current use year points can be transferred, No exception needed. (Don't bank them if you want to transfer them).

After the September use year points are transferred, you can bank them. Again, no exception needed. Then they will be good for vacations beginning 12/1/2023 and ending no later than 8/31/2024. (Even though transferred to your December use year, the September use year points retain their home resort and use year tags).

Hope that helps and good luck getting 2022 use year points with your purchase - you'll have to do that before the end of August.

Most likely yes. They do all kinds of illegal things for you when you buy points direct.

I think there is a good chance that you can get them to transfer and then give you the late banking exception for the new points.
