Buy BCV or BWV? 1st time buyer...

We love the BC only did BWV once and haven't been back.

BC gets the edge for us
~pool, we are huge pool people and it's the best
~QS options, love just hopping down to the Marketplace for a quick bite.
~small, intimate feel
~can be at Epcot in 5 min

At BWV we were pretty much at DHS we were so far away from the lobby (and I thought people were exaggerating)
~found it inconvenient to get to the Bakery or Screen Door when we were so far away
~getting a stroller up the elevator to the lobby was a huge pain

Both are great, but based on our family's vacation style, BWV was the winner. If I had to choose another home resort, BC would be #2.

Our entire family loves the free shows on the Boardwalk from 7-10 each night, and the ability to walk back to the room to grab a bottle of wine and be back on the Boardwalk within 5 minutes is fantastic. It would take 15 minutes or more to walk to and from the BC back to the shows. My kids also loooove the BWV community center. I swear they'd rather play ping pong and air hockey than ride most of the rides in the parks.

BWV is also significantly closer to Hollywood Studios, which makes the walk very practical.

The BC definitely has a better pool, but we're not really pool fanatics. A quick dip here and there is all we need. The BC's rooms also seem to be in better shape when it comes to wear and tear, but I'm less qualified to talk about that, having only been in BC rooms twice.

Depending on which route you take around the lagoon? ;)

I have a couple of fingers that do not always connect properly to my brain, especially if I am making them go fast! :teeth:

Thanks for reading - I fixed it. :)

I was hoping when the did a refurb they would change that huge clown face to a big Mickey head.

I purposely have never stayed there because of that creepy clown.

we own at both, but prefer the BWVs.
while a beautiful resort, we find the BCV too noisy for our tastes (hallways, lobby). SAB is massive, and gets incredibly congested (the two top reasons for our using/owning a pool are being able to swim, as well as relax nearby - we found both those difficult at SAB).
love the BC solarium (when quiet), and hurricane hannah's burgers.

love community hall, the amazing views, nighttime entertainment, and dining options available at the BWV, and (especially) that the resort itself is very quiet. .
imho, BCV is great for preteens, especially toddlers, BWV better for those who prefer variety and options :)

For us, both resorts are all about location. Being able to walk into 2 of the 4 Disney Theme Parks is an unbelievable perk! So while either resort can provide this, we tilt our hat towards the Boardwalk simply because you can take advantage of the "standard view" room points. For what I believe is the same cost of an Old Key West room, you can stay at the Boardwalk...in a "standard view" room. I know when we travel in September, the difference between a BCV studio and BWV studio is 37 points for a weeks stay. Now that we travel to WDW twice a year and every point counts, BWV wins! :3dglasses
