Hi, just wondering if there is somewhere else to get buttons other than city hall. Read a few reports lately that the line there has been crazy long.

Depends on the button. You can ask at Guest Services for the buttons and they will have certain buttons available in shops or at restaurants.

We picked up a number of buttons at the restaurants but also got some from the shop across from the Emporium on Main Street. (the shop specializes in wedding, anniversary, birthday, baby items).

I've seen birthday buttons handed out in DL resturants (Plaza Inn), in shops (Hat shop on Main St) and even from ride operators (Splash Mtn). The DL Citizen buttons have also been handed out by ride operators (Monster's Inc, Jungle Cruise). My guess is that City Hall always has a supply but that they get distributed throughout the park as well so you can definetly try your luck elsewhere if the line is too long.

I tend to get ours at the Emporium and have seen them at other shops as well. DCA's "information booth" also has them and rarely has very long lines.

My DH got his Bday button at Guest Services in front of CA. It is located to the left of the main entrance of CA. The line was really short. I am pretty sure they had all the different buttons there.

Last August, it was my DBF's birthday. Guest services was out of buttons at the hotel, but while doing some pin trading with a CM in front of Golden Dreams I told her it was his birthday. She gave him a button out of her messenger bag and gave DD and I a first visit button as well. Most CM's are very pleasant.

Today, we got birthday and first visit buttons at the ticket booth when I was getting out Ares Airiels lunch vouchers.

I would love to be able to do that, but unfortunately I'm staying at Hojos. But apparently there are a lot of other options, good! Thanks!

We stayed at HoJos and we got my husbands 1st visit pin and my celebrate pin when we picked up our tickets and the lady asked what we are celebrating.

Our anniversary one we got at the shop in adventureland

Go to City Hall to get those buttons. You do not have to stay on site to get any of the buttons. Calvin got confused and they thought it was his first time so he got a First Time button.:lmao:

Go to the Times Board near the Hub at the end of Main Street, on the left, right near the hub. They have all the buttons there. It is run by Guest Relations (as you can tell by the costume which matches City Hall's).

Also, Innoventions has lots of buttons, as does many of the bigger restaurants: Plaza Inn, Blue Bayou, maybe Carnation.

HTH,
Dreams

DD got her birthday badge from the store across from Splash Mountain exit. She received an Honoury Citizen a different day from the CM on the Sun Wheel.

I was at Disneyland last week for my first time. I heard about the buttons the night of my first day after leaving the park. (I did see them all day I just didn't know where to get them) The second day there I kept looking for a friendly looking CM to ask and finally found one on the Thunder Mtn ride. I asked him about them and he immediately went and got some for us. I'm told that most CM's carry them.

I don't know about the birthday ones and I didn't know about the Celebrate ones either. BUMMER

With the birthday promo going can you get birthday button's if it is not your exact birthday? My son's birthday is the 20th and we are going for a week just before and want to celebrate in the park.
:cheer2:
