When you're putting on a pair of jeans (or I guess any pants for that matter), do you zip them first and then do the button, or button them first and then zip?

I have no idea why my friends and I started talking about this one day...but I do it one way and everyone I know seems to do it the other way :rotfl: so just curious.

Its easier to button then zip, anyone doing the zipper first should try it the other way. (at least once)

The button holds the top of the zipper close together and the zipper will slide smoothly up. Why hold the top of the pants together before fastening them, the button can do that for you. Yes you still have to put your hand there, but you dont need to hold the 2 parts together.

Seems totally backwards to zip first.

:thumbsup2

Zip then button: Single motion, bottom-to-top, rather than zig-zag, top-bottom-top.

However, when it's that time of the month (or your jeans are just really tight), button first ensures you'll be able to wear them. :thumbsup2 xD

I agree--never would cross my mind to do it the other way!

Suck in, button, then zip:rotfl:

Button then zip!

Zip then button.

But I am not fashionable and my jeans are far from tight on me. Never a problem with getting the zipper up. Maybe I should buy some tight jeans now that I'm armed with the button-then-zip trick!
