I would agree for the local traveler that would be incentive to go back. However if you live 16hrs away like I do and either cannot afford a yearly trip to Orlando and/or you enjoy exploring other areas, being annoyed at poor customer service would only encorrage me to spend my precious travel dollars elseware. That way I know I will get what I worked so hard to pay for.
Yup. We live in Toronto and it will be our third time this year when we go in August. Them running out of Butterbeer mugs or a certain wand or even, gasp, Pygmy Puffs wouldn't dissuade me from going back.
sorry to hijack post, but I just noticed that you are from Exeter, bubba's mom. We are close neighbors--I live in Birdsboro, and I am also a redhead. And yes, we go at least every other year, if not every year.

DD and I were discussing this just last night. We don't see HOW Universal could NOT have expected the crowds that they got, given that Harry Potter is THE most popular character/story IN THE WORLD!!
But anyway, we are glad that they have the merchandise too!

I think they expected huge crowds but probably not the amount of stuff that people are buying. People don't usually buy a lot of merch at Universal. You would imagine that what they expected to be a two year supply of mugs would laster longer than a month.
We were there opening week and kept saying to ourselves that they needed to stop advertising now. The place was insanely crowded, no advertising needed!
