I liked the meat at O'hanas, it was some of the best all trip, so moist and tasty!
Shame about the service in there.
And Sonya didn't mention at the end that the waiter came storming after us as WE had signed the wrong receipts for the bill. I followed his instructions, yet he made us do it all again on the spot! We felt like criminals!

All caught up again! I've been in crazy preparation mode for our trip which we begin driving in 36 HOURS!!!!!!!! Great reviews, especially happy to hear the meat at 'Ohana was good. DH loves his meat!
I'm going to have to catch up again when we get back. I'll look forward to comparing your notes on 1900 to ours.

My last meal at 50's Prime Time was actually at the Tune In Lounge, as I was dining solo. They served me at the bar, and I had the fried chicken and s'mores. Good times.

At last!! Breakfast away from the hotel! 
If you read my report last year you will know that I had Tonga Toast twice the first time I adored it, the second time it seemed incredibly greasy and made me feel unwell for hours. I really wanted to try it again, but didnt want to waste money in case I didnt like it again, and we had all those pesky counter service credits to use up so, I decided we would go to Captain Cooks at the Polynesian, where they also do Tonga Toast! I didnt give a thought to what Tony would have turns out the menu there is pretty slim pickings!
Very exciting start as we got to order on the little touch-screen kiosk thingies rather than at the counter! Then you pay and they give you a buzzer for when the food is ready. It only took a few minutes to be prepared. I was really surprised how empty CCs was we were there about 8am and MK was due to open at 9, so I thought it would be packed. Less than a quarter full though.
Anyhow, on with the show! I went for Tonga Toast as you know (banana stuffed sough dough bread, battered, deep fried and dusted with cinnamon and sugar). This came with maple syrup rather than the lovely strawberry syrup you get in Kona Café. You could also have it with bacon or sausage; no option for fruit so I didnt have anything with it. Tony went for the Breakfast sandwich (scrambled eggs, bacon and American cheese on a jumbo croissant).
I have taken the picture along side two stacked tubs on maple syrup, so you can see the height of this thing!
Tony gives his sandwich 7/10 it was apparently a little dry, but not greasy.
And my Tonga Toast? . . . nope my second impression was definitely right sadly. I am glad I gave this another chance, but its just way too greasy for me. Sitting here typing I really want another one, as I can remember how much I liked the first one, but it just makes me feel really unwell. So very sadly I wont be having another. I give it 6/10 though because for any fan of it, this seemed to be well cooked and certainly no different from the more expensive offering up in Kona.

Tony had the carrot-cake for dessert we both shared it and it was really nice actually. I was expecting it to be dry, but it was very fresh and tasty. It gets an 8/10.
And why did I share Tonys dessert, I hear you ask?! Well, because mine was inedible. I had been looking forward to the Peanut butter brownie mousse for ages well that wasnt on the menu. Instead I went for something claiming to be chocolate pudding. Chocolate gloop is more accurate. Double, triple yuck. Didnt taste of chocolate, and looked like a diaper gone bad! Slop!
But apart from that I highly recommend this as a MK counter service!! We will definitely go back.

There was so much to choose from, but I went for my old favourite the ice cream cookie sandwich. Two giant oatmeal and raison cookies sandwiched together with vanilla ice-cream. These were both just excellent! I have to give mine 10/10 the cookies were ooey gooey, which was made even better by the ice-cream melting into them. Tony scooped out some of my ice-cream (the cheek of it!!) to go with his bundt cake. He loved this as well, really rich and chocolately 9/10.
That evening we were off to 1900 Park Fare. We had breakfast here last year, and really wanted to try dinner.
Now you know the Cinderella chocolate castle and slipper you can get at the Grand Floridian restaurants? Well I reeeeeeeally wanted one of these. But you cant order it for yourself, right?! So a subtle
plan of action had to be put into motion. 6 weeks before we left I emailed Tony with pictures of these treats. I followed this up with the cake order hotline telephone number; the restaurants you could order these at; a list of our ADRs at these restaurants, including ADR times and dates. Two weeks before we left I repeated this process. I still didnt hold out much hope though. This was our first Grand Floridian meal of the trip . . .
So, we arrived at the restaurant and checked in. Had to wait about 20 minutes past our ADR time to be seated. None of the characters were nearby at this point so we went up and got some appetisers. The food is set out in Countries, if I remember correctly there was America, Asia, and Italian, and I think one other. I had tomato and mozzarella salad (look past the brown sauce it was in!!), ceaser salad, and some pasta in a meaty sauce (not an appetiser but it was near them and looked good!!!). I very much liked all of these. Frankly I could have eaten an entire plateful of the pasta, but one must show restraint sometimes. Tony went for bread, roll, ceaser salad, and some of the meaty pasta.
The characters were getting near at this point, so we decided to wait for them before going up again (hate it when you have a big mouthful going on and then have to try chat!). Our waiter suddenly appeared, plonked a Cinderella slipper down in front of me, and left!! Tony looked horrified, and I had no idea what was going on! Turns out Tony had ordered me one (bless him), and the waited picked that moment when we had only been sitting down about 15 minutes, and plainly werent at the end of our meal to deliver it. I always assumed and I think Tony did as well that it would come out at the dessert time, and might be delivered nicely, rather than just being plonked down. It kind of ruined the moment a little bit!! We took a couple of photos with it, and then had to call our waiter to ask him to store it until I was ready for dessert, which he seemed a little put out by! Well, I didnt want it going all warm before I got to it! So that was a little annoying!
We saw the characters then. Prince Charming was dulle-ville (please excuse my hair, I was having an absolutely terrible hair night so most of the pictures are of Tony! Can you say greasy, lank bangs?!). Mrs Tremaine was great scared the life out of Tony, and the sisters was really funny as well. The three of them put on a great show all night actually, shouting at each other across the restaurant, and were very enjoyable! Cinderella was nice as well, but the sisters are the entertainment for the night!
On with the food!!!!!!!!! I adore mash potato, so went for a massive splodge of that, along with freshly carved pork and gravy. I also had some rice and some beef stir fry. This mash, pork and gravy were out of this world. I had huge portions of each, and I wolfed down every bite. They were so tasty! The rice was stodgy but fine. The beef stir fry was Ok nothing wrong with it, it just paled next to the pork and mash!
Tony went for pork, chicken, mash, beef stir fry and rice.
Second plates. I just had a little more mash (told you I love it!) as I had to save myself for my slipper! Tony had more bread, chicken and mash.
On to desserts. I seem to have failed to take a picture of Tonys oops. I remember him having fruit tart, key lime pies and icecream though. I of course ate my lovely slipper. The slipper itself was good thick white chocolate. The dark chocolate mousse was the best thing though this is the richest mousse you are ever likely to eat. I was feeling sick by the time I had forced every last bit of it in! It was so good!! I did let Tony have one of my raspberries, but that was all!!! I was so pleased Tony made the effort to order this for me, I wish it had come out when I was ready for dessert rather than being dumped on us ludicrously early, but it was lovely and I would recommend it to everyone!

I have seen loads of bad reviews of dinner here but, service aside, I give it 9/10. Tony says the food was really good as well (though he was angry with the slipper coming out so soon) and gave it 8/10. I would happily go back here again! Probably not next year though as I really need to try the Cape May buffet to try the flan I was reading about earlier today on someone elses review!!!
Next up we have Boma breakfast, Earl of Sandwich lunch, and the Wave dinner.

Sorry to hear the tonga toast doesn't agree with you. My DH makes it for me for my birthday every year and I love it but don't think I could eat more often than once a year

your review of 50's Prime Time has me a little nervous!!! I'm so excited to try the food, but at the same time, DH & I do not like to be the center of attention. If someone has either one of us do something like stand against a wall or sing I'm a Little Teapot, we're probably going to freak...I hope I get a quiet server...lol

Did you get to try WPE Creme Brulee in the end? Their cookies are nice but nothing special, but the Creme Brulee never disappointed me! Well, if you didn't try it there is always next time!
Your choices at CG are a lot like mine - it is such a shame the flatbreads weren't back when you visited - these are devine too, another reason to go back?
And I can SO second your comments about Ohana's breadpudding. I hated the one at Raglan Road but Ohana's is to die for!!!

Great update! The food at 1900 PF looks great, very pretty slipper even if it was early. 
How much did you have to pay for it? I really want to order it in advance for our GF Cafe lunch on our wedding planning day.

I've never tried one of those oatmeal cookie ice cream sandwiches!! They look awesome! Something new to look forward to on our next trip!! Yay! The bundt cake looked good too! Oh great, now I think I'll have to have one of each!
