Busy Time?

I am headed down there for the dates of August 24 - August 30...does anyone know how busy this time is?

It is one of the most crowded times of the year. Any time school is out the parks are busy. I went in August a few years ago and it was not bad. Just know ahead of time that it will be busy.

You won't have to worry about kids from Texas as they go back to school earlier in August!!

Kids here in Kentucky go back the 2nd week in August! We start the 8th!! Gets earlier and earlier every year--don't know why?? What's the advantage?

I'm going the 21st to 27th. The CM on reservations said "It is usually slow, Southern schools are back in session. That is why they added free dining. But the dining may make it busier than usual.

So it will probably be hot and busy Oh well, just take it easy and it'll be fine.

We went the last week of August in 2003, and I'd say the crowds were average. Not super busy, not dead. But Fastpass made everything very, very manageable. My only complaint about that week was the parks closing early. I don't know what they're doing this year as far as that goes.

I agree I have gone that time of year twice and the crowds were not bad at all, FP made it even better..Most schools are back in session by them anway..We are also going that time this yr..

I have to add I am a bit worried with the free dining how crowded it will be because I noticed Le Cellier is tottally booked that week. BUT I have been at the busiest time of yr, spring break, lord the crowds were crazy, but with planning we still managed to do everything we wanted and had a great time!
