Busy the week b/4 and week after spring break?

I'm thinking of trying to visit either the week beginning 4/6 or the week beginning 4/20 - on either side of the 4/14 spring break week (Easter Sunday is 4/20).

Does anyone have an idea if these 2 weeks are crowded.

My other choice is the week of 4/27.

Larry,
the two weeks directly surrounding easter sunday are typically very crowded. If your schedule allows, I would try to avoid these times.

In 2002 we arrived in WDW the Wednesday after Easter. I would not recommend any doing so, unless there is no other choice.

If you must travel that week, and we are doing it again this year. t helps to be aware that the crowds make it very difficult to travel from one location to another. I would reccomend getting PS's for resaurants in the park you will be attending that particular day. In other words, don't plan on a day in MK and then expect to easily get from MK to Epcot for dinner.

We were at WDW in 2002 the week prior to Easter. It did steadily get more crowded as the week went on. Thursday and Friday prior were VERY crowded at MK. On the other hand though, I knew it would be crowded as the guide books tell you it it the busiest time for them. I expected it to be much worse than it was, so I wasn't disappointed. Actually, I kept saying to DH that it wasn't as bad as everyone said. We also used my husband's American Heroes Certificate so it was a very cheap trip for us and so I never felt like I didn't get my money's worth. I planned and planned, had PS's made, etc. and we still had a WONDERFUL time despite the building crowds. We did everything we wanted to do.

Spring breaks can occur anywhere from early March to end of April depending on school. The majority still have them during the two weeks surrounding Easter with half of those the week before and the other the week of Easter. Those two weeks are the most crowded of the year along with Christmas week. Week of April 6 is likely to be very crowded but will be nowhere near as bad as those two Easter weeks. The week of April 27 will be crowded but lighter than any of your other choices.

Well, last year I when I went it wasn't too bad. We were there March 23 - 29. Granted it did get busier as the week approached the weekend. But the only time I had trouble getting around was one night at the Magic Kingdom, but they had a parade going on. Other than that, we didn't have much of waits for many rides (except Kali River Rapids). Our bus was a bit crowded sometimes, but I don't think that was other's faults, it was usually full with our group (about 50 people or so).
