Busy the first weekend of February?

Posted this same question a few minutes ago but it did not show up. Can anyone tell me why Feb. 3-6 has few or no AP discounts acc. to Mousesaver's. I want to take my 2 kids to WDW for the weekend only but now am concerned that it might not be wise. Any info. about happenings there? Thanks. Threehearts

We went the first week of Feb.last year--no crowds. We just got back today and this trip was busier than last feb. good luck have fun

February 8th is Mardi Gras and a lot of people from New Orleans head that way the weekend before-we do it every year. However, it is not enough to truly crowd the parks. I know we are looking forward to less crowds this year since Mardi Gras is early and doesn't interfere with President's Day, which is crowded.

We were wondering what was going on too. We have reservations for 2/10-2/14 at POR. We wanted to change to CBR but there was not one room available - even at rack rate!! The CM also checked CS, Pop and Wilderness lodge and the only thing available was an Executive Suite at CS, and concierge at Wilderness Lodge. We kept our reservation at POR, but are now concerned about the crowds. Anyone have any ideas??

I just looked on these sites and have never seen Nothing except Swan and Dolphin come up for my dates. Something must be going on next weekend. I think I'll call WDW this morning. Threehearts
