Busy December 18th?

We'll be visiting the week of December 18th. How are the crowds around this time?

We went last Dec during this time frame. The beginning of the week was very nice. Not big waits for much. But, each day that goes by that brings you closer to Christmas...wow. We woke up on Thurs the 22nd and went to Epcot. CRAZY. At 12 pm Soarin was 120 minute wait and zero fastpasses left for the day.

Just do everything you want to do early in the week and ENJOY. We can't wait to go back at Christmas time. The weather was fabulous for us and the decorations and all the festivities were so good! Now, if we can just convince dh we really can go back by ourselves.

This is my first time on the boards here and this is my first post, but I just wanted to throw in that I found out that on the 18th is one of the nights for the Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom. They told me you do have to purchase a separate ticket for that and it starts around 7 p.m. and they close Magic Kingdom down just for that event that evening. When I made our reservations I found that out and it is going to be amazing! This is our first time there during Christmas and I am like a kid myself about it. I can't wait!!

We arrive on 12/16, and hope to encounter lower crowds up to the 20th. After that I think it'll get a lot worse really quick. Could be a lot worse---we could be at home at work!!!

We'll arrive at WDW on the 14th (late, late at night!) and be there until the 23rd! I think we're doing MVMCP on the 19th, though. Hopefully, the crowds won't be too bad.

Thank you Patti, that is so nice of you. I am so overwhelmed by the information on these boards and I am really not sure how to use them when I am replying and I haven't had alot of time to spend on them but my oldest daughter has been doing that. She comes to me every 5 minutes to tell me something in fact. I will try to come back to them tonight and read alot more. There is just so much!
Vickie, my daughter saw your reply that you were going to be at the Christmas Party and she just thought that was the coolest thing. Every morning at 5 a.m. she gets up and gives me a countdown to Disney and Christmas. Can you tell how excited she is? Then I hear it 100 more times during the day.
