Busier - May half term or June weekends?

Hi

We are booked to go for a few days in May half term but might have to change it to a June weekend. Does anyone know how busy a June weekend would be? We have been in May half term before and it was busy but bearable. Not sure whether the locals make the weekends really busy

I think I would avoid weekends if at all possible - all the weekends I've been there have been extremely crowded (May, October, December), although I still had fun and it definitely gets less busy after about 7pm or so. Where my stay has included a weekday the weekdays have always been much more manageable...

Last year was there just before May half term - Wed/Thurs/Fri were manageable, but Sat/Sun were complete nuts! On Thurs night we got a fairly decent spot in the hub for Dreams about 15-30 minutes before the show started; on Sat night I wandered past the hub about an hour before the show started and it was completely packed!

i agree - avoid any weekends at DLP, local guests turn up in their droves, especially in good weather. But having said that, this year I'd avoid 29th and 30th May too (Ascension day long weekend).

Maybe we will stick to May half term then. We are leaving on Thurs 29th which is the start of the long weekend, so hopefully shouldn't be too bad
