Bush's Lost Opportunity

Although my comment was tongue and cheek with a bit of sarcasim, I wasn't happy about Teresa Heniz Kerry doing that, however, she is not running for office. I happen to like Laura Bush, but she is not running either.

I can't understand why everyone is so happy with George W. Bush's performance. We should have never gone to Iraq the way we did. The citizens of Iraq did not attack us on 9/11. The people that did were never dealt with and our homeland secrurity is a joke. More money has been funded to Ohio then New York City where the attack took place. And what about stem-cell research, how could anyone feel good about that. And let's not look at the economy. Our children's grandchildren are going to be paying down this deficit. The Bush family has so many business ties to Saudi Arabia that it is unreal. All but one of the hijackers were from Saudi Arabia. Osama Bin Laden's family was never fully questioned or detained. They were secretly flown out of the country. Dick Cheny himself stands to make millions upon millions of dollars from all the work his old company is doing in Iraq. Let me ask you all. If any of your kids were there would you still think it is the right place to be. We are going to have to clean this mess while our country suffers the backlash. By going to Iraq we made this a much more dangerous place to live.

I choose not to call anyone names because of their views (right or wrong). I just find it funny how so many so-called God Fearing religious right people act like anything but christians. I will just say I respect your opinion and Godspeed to you.

Bush supporters are happy with George Bush's performance because we believe that "swatting at flies" is not the way to conduct this war on terror. We believe that OBL isn't the mastermind of ALL terrorist acts, and that the war on terror must be fought on many fronts--not in Afghanistan, exclusively, as Kerry suggested at the debate. We believe we SHOULD have gone into Iraq. . .and, those that support Bush have explained over and over again why on other threads here. Obviously, your mind will not be changed. But, you mean you DISAGREE, right? You are a medical doctor, not slow on the uptake--so you must understand, just disagree.

There is no economy if there is no security. We see this comes first. All of your issues--health care, minimum wage, etc., etc., ---they are important, but only important if our our nation is secure. That is first and foremost. This is reality.

All of you Kerry supporters keep spreading misinformation. This means one of two things: 1. You really believe it. .. in which case you are not as well informed as you believe you are. 2. You don't believe these stories, and in fact know the truth--but you want to act as if these falsehoods are true--hoping to spread misinformation in your quest to have a Kerry win in November.

So, if you know the truth, but have to keep spreading falsehoods to make Kerry look like the better choice, why would you vote for Kerry? Isn't there enough truth there to support your candidate?

No one in the administration ever said they did. Please provide evidence of that. The economy is doing just fine, thank. The average monthly unemployment is the lowest since 1948.
