bush wins party thread

It's not a double standard. They aren't complaining about how their lives are awful.

They can most certainly be upset, but to make a statement saying how awful the next 4 yrs are going to be when it doesn't affect them in any way is extremely too bold.

Oh, then please tell me how it won't affect them. I'd really like to know that.

I already explained it 3 posts up.

And if those aren't good enough reasons, then you explain how it does affect them.

the people have spoken. 52% of the population think kerrys an idiot flip flopper and bush is da man. and lets face it, most kids and teens are anti government.. pretty much anti everything.. so theres always lots of animocity towards an incumbent. plus when youre 14 years old you really have no grasp on american government or the political structure

When are you planning to say the same thing to the 14yos celebrating because Bush won?

Double standards, if you're going to allow people to be pleased that Bush won, surely people can be upset as well.

Come on...

Um, not to be rude, but why do YOU care? You're from the UK anyway.

I agree being at eachothers neck isn't gonna make Kerry win or Bush lose.

the "hunk" [yeh right] will never simmer. He always has to win

Yeah, that's really cute and mature of you all. Crashing a bush party thread. If you're a Kerry fan, I'm sorry that your nominee lost, but if you see "bush" on any thread, and you don't like it, you can move along. It's not our problem. Go make your own thread and crash it.

You're unable to have a drivers license, a job, be taxed, get drafted, or come close to being near retirement.

Come on...

Sorry, but I just had to post to this. Don't yell at a person because they don't support Bush. I know he won but everyone has the right to have their own opinion about who they wanted to win, even if they are to young to have it effect them much.

How hypocritical of you....your snide comments on the the kerry supporters thread weren't immature at all:rolleyes:

Check out my other post. And I don't see where you get snide comments.

Stop it, you're hurting my feelings.

And yes, I do always have to win. I especially like to let people know when they're wrong and I'm right.

Quick straw poll... Does putting 'you' in capital letters make that post immensely rude?

(Maybe it's just my English sensibilities ;) )

So are you saying that I should not have an opinion? Or simply that I shouldn't express it because I'm from another country?

i understand where youre comin from pigsoldier. most europeans hate americans anyways. it really doesnt make a difference to me, but i get where youre comin from.

No, not at all! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, as well as expressing that opinion. I was just curious about why you feel so strongly about one candidate or the other, and your reasons, since whoever is the president doesn't directly affect you. Sorry about the confusion. :D

Just because the election took place here in the US doesn't mean it doesn't affect citizens of other countries. England is our strongest ally, and is also involved in the war in Iraq, so it's not surprising that PigSoldier cares about our presidential candidates. This election in particular affects people living in other countries.

I am so glad Bush won. I'm not a huge fan of him, but i don't like Kerry at all. 8 years of Bush is 100 times better than 4 years of Kerry.

I never said that people in the UK weren't affected, I said they weren't DIRECTLY affected.

But I don't want to mince words and start to turn things ugly. Like I said, the election's over, and we all need to simmer down now. ::yes:: :smooth:
