Bush was right

Thank you. You proved my point.
Your point was that some will never give him credit? OK, I proved it then. I guess that we only disagree about whether he deserves the credit then.

Makes you wonder if some peope secretly wish Saddam was back in power.

Truly sad and unbelievable. :sad2: We liberate 25 million people and our own countrymen accuse us of outrageous crimes.

There appears to be more outcry against the the liberators than Saddam.

Our President and our allies were right and did what was right (and did not wait for the emasculated and corrupt UN's "blessing.") Praise God.

Please provide proof that war haters want Saddam back in power.

"Liberate" is a weird term at the moment anyway - they're on the brink of civil war thanks to our lack of planning.

As for outrageous crimes, well, welcome to Democracy - a term you appear to have trouble with.

Praise God that praise for war is a minority sport. Thou shalt not kill.

OK, you're no Rhodes scholar.

Who saying there was a connection between 9/11 and Hussein??

George Bush and in the past, you. The threads are now long gone, but the sentiment remains.

JoeEpcotRocks said:
So you and millions of others absolutely knew Saddam and no nukes and was no threat?? Really.

The UN knew that - America and Britain were dead wrong.

JoeEpcotRocks said:
The people of his own country knew was a threat to his own people (for starters). For the 10's of thousands dead -- blame Saddam and the terrorists. (Do you blame the USA for the dead in WWII.)

I blame Saddam for his deeds and ourselves for our deeds. We are not saints and made dreadful, dreadful mistakes.

Still going with the Bush LIED stuff, so sad.

Bush was right. Some will never give him credit.

Bush said there were WMDs. He even used the term "absolutely" when questioned about the presence. No WMDs were found.

How on earth could history judge that blunder as being a correct statement?

Praise God for the United Nations and worldwide democracy; some may spit at it but I for one praise it. History will show that the minority was right.

What's the alternative? Praise God for a war mongeror? Not a chance.

The UN is the pinnacle of democracy in this world. Thatnk God for it. It's just a pity they can't reign in loose cannons like Bush.

[EDIT]: To flesh things out...

i support the United Nations because of what it stands for - democracy around the globe. I am aware of its shortfallings, but these a far precluded by the amount of good it does in its peacekeeping roles.

Of course, shock and horror, they were right about Iraq. Bush was wrong.

UN was not right, they were dead wrong.

They had to tough of a time looking past the oil for food scandal they were perpetrating.

War mongerer? Please remember, we didn't start this.

Don't be so delusional in your hatred, it's not becoming.

UN: "There are no WMDs."
Coalition: "Yes there are! Shut up!"

Pffft. Fail, as usual.

Are you idealising that every member of the UN is corrupt? Source for deflamatory remarks, please.

Yes you did, you invaded Iraq on known false evidence. So did we. Of course, Bush never actually declared war as such, he just started the conflict will-nilly.

TCPluto said:

:rotfl:

Yeah, right. You support WMD George and you think I'm delusional?

Wake up!

There were no WMDs as promised by Bush and Blair. There was no 45 minute launch window. The UN kept on telling us this and yet we insisted that our known flimsy intellignece was correct.

We got it very, very wrong.

Now, we're hated by the civilised world. We've promoted terrorism and have been made to seem silly infront of our enemies. Our military is spent, unable to do more than token role for many, many years. And for what? To destabilise a region into civil war? To fire at a secondary target?

Oh, very, very well done. Fail.

And please, don't let your hatred show - it's scaring the children.

[EDIT] Oh man, I haven't stopped laughing at you for ages! You made some kind of pathietic stab about hatred literally minutes after I dug this up:

Of course we started this! Shock and Awe remember? We ATTACKED a sovereign nation that was not a threat to us. They are now in a civil war. Yes, we started it. Remember George Bush's famous "Mission accomplished" speech, May 3, 2003? Hmm... Isn't May 2006 upon us? Was Civil war the mission?

The only thing that's unbecoming is your signature snotty sarcasm. Reading your posts, I think you are incapable of posting without it. It's rather hard to have a meaningful dialogue with someone who's main objective is to hurl sarcastic insults like a machine gun, unless of course you are not interested in a mature intellegent discussion and just want to pot stir. In that case, you are doing a fine job, but don't expect to have an exchange of ideas with someone after you repeatedly cut them off with patronizing and condescending pap.

Six days since the story and five days since the OP and still no announcement from the Bush administration saying "hey, we were right". As a matter of fact, not only haven't their been any proclamations from Bush backing Joe's story, he's taking it on the chin from his fellow Republicans over security. Talking about at grasping straws.

What's the next pronouncement, Joe? Maybe something along the lines of somebody somewhere at some time saw an alien spacecraft whisk the WMD's away. :lmao:

Keep us posted.

This stuff just makes me sick...

1 - You don't get to slam the UN...then use the UN as partial justification for invading (the "we already have UN authority based on previous votes" card you people love to pull out). At least, you don't get to do it without being a complete hypocrite.

2 - There were no WMD's. Why you can't seem to get that through your heads is simply beyond my understanding. THERE - WERE - NONE. You were lied to by the chimp you put in office. Deal with it.

3 - You especially don't get to talk about what a brutal dictator Saddam was - and make fun of the Brits for the Chamberlain comment - what there is a genocide taking place RIGHT THIS MINUTE that your ever loving president has completely ignored! Saddam's worst crimes were decades old. Meanwhile, women and children are being butchered daily in another part of the world while you turn a blind eye and crow about being "right" to invade Iraq.

Just makes me physically ill to read some of this nonsense.

Wouldn't it be great to help everyone out, all at the same time? Let me know how we can accomplish this.

If you refuse to deny the facts to propel your hatred, so be it. To do so, only makes you look petty however.

Readings these sites when I'm suppose to be working hehe. Interesting posts. Bush is a nut job, I think everyone knows that, even now with this Seaport issue, I mean how can you be so gung ho war and then this Seaport issue, makes no sense, thats why I find I dislike him more and more and more. But I think the extreme left and right are both nuts. Its sickening to hear die hard conservatives preaching pro war when its typically the middle america and poor kids fighting this war (you know while their kids are attending ivy league schools) and the conservative religious leaders on TV preaching pro war, nuts nuts nuts, absolutely beyond words. Then on the other hand you liberals saying there was NO reason for the war and Sadaam was of no real threat nuts, and had absolutely nothing whatsoever and of no future threat is nuts, I'm from NY, and going over to other countries and trashing us, and people from other countries feeling free to trash us, also sickening, being totally disrespectful to our troops. Thats why I'm in the middle, both liberals and conservatives sicken me, so unbelievably sad and with a dumb President even more scary. We did have a real reason, but we need another way, this is not working and it is really unbelievably sad, doesn't quite describe it, at least if you do go to war, make sure you've exhausted every other possible means first, and try to reach for the highest of our human nature and intelligence instead of the lowest if possible. I think everything somehow ties into monetary gains for someone somewhere, I hate to think that, even these conservative Christians preaching war, blows my mind and I'm a Christian, phew, aren't we suppose to have that one sane place where we learn about love and you reap what you sow? Well enough of this for me, I'm at Disney site to get away from this nuttiness in this world hehe.

If you are coming here expecting to exchange meaningful ideas through civil, thoughtful dialogue, I feel sorry for you. The hard left has made it clear that that type of exchange will not be tolerated. You'll certainly leave angrier and more dissatisfied than when you came.

No, what looks petty is to label very view that is different from yours as being "hateful". It's also immature.

I think it is clearly your fault for not providing your crystal ball revelations before this started. From the comfort of your couch, you simply have all of the answers. Who would have thunk it? Not me...

Don't let it bother you Wvrevy, the rabid right is just grasping at broken straws trying to make themselves feel better about blindly supporting an incompetent, corrupt, and impotent administration. :coffee:
