Ok, now that I'm getting close, I'm trying to figure out all the logistics. We are using a limo service rather than renting a car, because DH loves the fact that we're on vacation and don't have to drive at all!

We'll be staying at CSR, and I know we can get to all the parks, DTD, etc. we've done this before.

However, one night, we're meeting some friends for dinner at Flying Fish, then maybe checking out Jellyrolls or other events on the Boardwalk. They're staying in a condo off-site and will drive and meet us. But getting back at night (probably not real late, likely 11:00 or so) will we be able to get back to CSR on Disney transportation? It is an EMH night at MK, so would that be our way - get a bus to MK then back to CSR? I know we could always ask them to drive us, but just looking at our options.

Thanks!! :sunny:

Sure, you could get to MK and then back to your resort. Or you could grab a cab also. It usually doesn't cost too much to get from anywhere to anywhere on WDW property. Just depends on how much time you want to take getting back to your resort.

If you want to do Disney transportation, take the bus from the BW to Downtown Disney/Pleasure Island. You can transfer to the bus for the CSR at DD/PI.

DD bus service runs until PI closes - which is 1 am (or maybe even 2 am, can't remember). It's a shorter time to get to DD via bus from the BW than it is to go to the MK via bus. In the middle of EMH, the buses to the MK probably don't run all that often, either. Most who go to EMH are either already at the MK or try to get there right when it starts.

That said, I'd take a cab - for $15 or less (including tip), you can be back in your room a lot quicker! And you don't have to worry about crowds, timing or transferring, either.

Best wishes -

I actually think it would be better to rent a car then to use the bus system. Sure, you may not want to drive while on vacation, but do you want to sit and wait for buses for 15 - 30 minutes all the time too? Especially if you are going to a different resort. We wasted 90 minutes one day in wait time for buses. We were so much happier when I drove.

It's really easy to get a taxi from any Disney resort if you want to get back to your hotel quickly. Just walk into any of the resorts in the boardwalk area (Boardwalk, Swan/Dolphin, Yacht/Beach clubs) and walk through the lobby and out the main entrance. There will be a CM at a podium and he/she will get you a taxi right away. They are usually waiting outside all the Disney resorts. If there is not one waiting the CM will call and get you one immediately. Not sure if this is the same at the Swan/Dolphin since they are not Disney owned.
