Buses to and from the DLR

A few years ago we stayed far enough away to ride the local buses from our hotel to the parks, but I have forgotten what the system was called. What company runs these runs and how much per day/per person are they to utilize? We are staying at the Peacock Suites and I know my kids will not want to walk that distance each time.
