...Does anyone know if you can get Disney transportation from the Fort to the putt putt courses? I think one is called Winter Wonderland and the other is Fantasia golf or somethink like that. If you can, do you know which connection I need to make from the outpost? Thanks.

There are no miniature golf busses that go directly there, however there are some tips.

For the Winter Wonderland, take the Blizzard Beach bus. The golf course is right around the corner so all you have to do is take a short 3-4 minute walk to get to the course.

For Fantasia Gardens, your best bet is to get on a bus to the Swan/Dolphin. You'll probably first have to take a bus to Downtown Disney, then transfer over to the Swan/Dolphin bus. Get off at the Swan and walk to the course from there, it's right next door.

Hope that helps, and have fun, I love the miniature golf courses at Disney. Fantasia Gardens has a realistic course that is my favorite, but Winter Wonderland is great as well. Fantasia also has a fantasy type course, so you get more options there.

When we walked the EPCOT resort area in December I remember seeing a path over to one of the putt putt courses. I believe it was between the Swan and Yacht Club. If you were to go there on a day you were doing the parks, you could get there when you're visiting EPCOT by leaving from the International Gateway (by UK Pav) and walking around to the Yacht club to get to the path (or take the boat). Or if you were not doing the parks, you could go visit Downtown Disney (bus from front of FW) and then get a bus from there to the Swan or Yacht club and walk across.

Maybe you can ask at the Transportation forum if there is a direct bus to it from somewhere.

Boy I'm slow at responding! Is the path I'm thinking about just on the side of the swan or can you get to it both ways? (Somewhere from the front of the Swan where the buses drop you off and the path that's along the epcot resorts path?)

I was about to wonder if you even saw my post...lol ;) Don't worry, I do the same thing myself...heh.

I believe the path is just on the one side, but it's all clearly marked, it's pretty easy to get to the Fantasia golf course from the Swan. You could even take a bus to the Boardwalk and get to the Fantasia Golf Course from there if you wanted, although it would be a longer walk (but if you wanted to check out the Boardwalk as well and the weahter is nice it could be a nice walk).

The Winter Wonderland is even easier because you just go to Blizzard Beach and walk around the corner, although it's not as clearly marked.

To get to Fantasia Gardens directly from Ft. Wilderness, the easiest is a bus to the Studios, then walk. It's about a 15 minute walk. Faster than the boat. But, you can take the boat if you insist.

Isn't it Winter Summer land ? Something like that. There are two sides - one a winter theme and one a summer beach type theme. This course is by far the easier of the two choices - great for kids since the cups are in the bottom of funnels, so all you have to do is get close to them and you can sink one. Fantasia gardens is by far more challenging, so is more suitable for adults or people who are more experienced at golf - miniature or regulation.

How much does it cost to play putt-putt? We enjoy playing but have never played at WDW. That might be something fun for our trip this December.

Many dollars. Visa/Mastercard accepted.

Honestly, I have only played on these courses when we got a pass in a package deal.

Is that easier than just going to the Swan? It's only about a 3 minute walk from the Swan, compared to the 15 minute walk from the Studios. Of course, since you don't have to switch buses it might be faster.

I find the price to be reasonable, since you can easily waste a good amount of time on one of the courses (especially the regulation type course at Fantasia Gardens, all 18 holes of it). And yes, the Winter Summerland course is the same as Fantasia Gardens, split into two different courses, although both of the courses at Winter Summerland are fantasy style courses, there is not a "realistic" type miniature golf course there.

If you are at Ft. Wilderness, you can't go directly to the Swan, you have to go to DTD, or the Studios (and walk or boat), or to Epcot, and walk through Epcot, (then walk or boat).

Yep, if you are already at a park or DTD, then yes a bus to the Swan, and walking over is the easiest.

But if you are at Ft. Wilderness or at any other resort, going to the Studios is the easiest way to get to the Swan :yay:

Yea, that's why I said that, cause it's all going to depend on how fast you can go from the Fort to DTD to the Swan. Guess it all depends in the end on what buses shows up first...lol ;)

No, there were no responses when I started writing. I was trying to remember where I saw that path and it made me think about walking around there and goofing off with my kids. When I posted and saw your response I was going to say that you owed me a coke then I saw that I'd 'wasted' 15 minutes reminiscing about happy Disney World memories.

FtWildernessGuy: I agree with you about the level of difficulty for kids at Fantasia Gardens. My guys thought it was very hard and it took several attempts at each hole before we could finish the course. The kid behind us got so frustrated at not being able to do it that he threw his club and it hit his mom in the face. Bloodied face at Disney World (I guess he hadn't heard he was in the happiest place on earth).

Yea, that's what I meant, sometimes I start to reply but then get busy and by the time I hit the "Submit" button someone else has already replied...lol.

And yes, the "serious" course at Fantasia Gardens is by far the hardest of all the courses. I have yet to play the fantasy course at Fantasia Gardens, so I can't comment, although people were moving through it pretty fast so I doubt it could have been that hard.

If you really like your miniature golf and are a competitive person, you will love the regulation type course at Fantasia. I had a blast playing it, and it's one of the best real miniature golf courses I've ever played.

HOWEVER....

If you're with your wife, mom, and dad, they might not like the course as much ;)

I am looking forward to a little putt-putt and I bet being Disney it is pretty cool. Maybe someday I will even beat my dh at it. He ALWAYS beats me.
