Buses from Parks

Hi
I was wondering how often the buses run from park to park...Is this an every 5 minutes thing or a 30 minute thing...We are hopping from Epcot to MGM one day and the other day Ak to Mk...We are trying to decide if we should drive or use dis transportation..Which is faster( we won't have little children with us!)

Disney recommends that you allow one hour to transfer from park to park.

However you can take the boat from Epcot to MGM and that will probably take at least 30 minutes.

As for the other commute you will need to take a bus from AK to the transportation ticket center at MK and then take the monorail or ferry up to the Magic Kingdom gates. I would estimate that trip to take at least 40 minutes with the best timing.

We usually rent a car for our travel to AK and any waterpark (slow bus service there) and also great to have to take to Downtown Disney, or when we want to go to any of the other resorts for dinner or whatever.

Oops just reread and saw you won't have kids...you can briskly walk the path from Epcot to MGM in 15 minutes if you don't want to wait for the slow boat.

If you are staying on property, use the buses. They run about every 15 minutes, give or take from resorts to parks, and parks to parks.

If you are staying off property and driving, your best bet is to take your car with you.

As someone stated, to get between Epcot and the Studios you can take the Friendship boats that run between the two throughtout the day. From Epcot you exit at the International Gateway (World Showcase side) and the boat is right there. It stops along the way at the Beach/Yacht clubs, Boardwalk, and Swan/Dolphin. It is a slow but nice relaxing ride. You can also walk and likely beat the boat. From the IG to the Studios is about 25-30 minutes walking.
We normally stay in the boardwalk area so unless a boat is loading we normally just walk to the Studios. Of course, we always walk to Epcot since it is so close.
