We are trying to decide if we will stay at BC or YC next year.
We will be going from Nov 30-Dec 6 (we think) because we want to avoid POP Warner crowd. I think they will actually be arriving on the 4th but that wont be so bad for us. What I'm wondering is how is the bus sharing with other resorts from either BC or YC? We've only stayed in the past at POFQ and we had to share with POR. It was fine for us because we were the first pickup and we were always able to get a seat. Are YC and BC the first pickup if shared with other resorts?

We always travel in October, so I am not certain about Nov/Dec.
But our experience has always (Many trips) been good from the BC. The YC and BC always share. The YC is the first stop, followed by the BC. I have never had a problem getting a seat in the morning, even though we were the second stop. I have had to stand getting home from a closing park in the evening.
Others have reported that at times, these buses also share with the Boardwalk and Swan and Dolphin. I have not personally experienced this.
Have a Great Trip

It all depends on the time of year if BW and S/D share with YC and BC. Usually when I am there we don't other than on the way home sometimes. Usually in the morning it was always just our resort or one bus for the YC and BC and then one bus for BW and S/D :)

We always go in January, a low time, and the busses pick up at Swan/Dolphin first, then Yacht Club, then Beach Club.

There are really only 3 bus routes that run. When you go to Epcot and HS, you can either walk or take a Water Taxi (boat). The buses run for DTD, AK, and the MK. The bus for the MK is split - the BC gets paired with the Boardwalk and the YC gets paired with the Swan & Dolphin.

I usually stay at the YC and have only had to give up my seat when riding back late from the MK or DTD.

Also, be aware there is only a single bus stop area at the BC - with designated seating areas for each place to go. At the YC, there is only one area.

Agreed that it depends on the time of year. We stayed at the BC this year from Dec 10-13 and thought bus transport was fine. All shared with the YC, but we didn't find any of them to be uncomfortably crowded.

There are times when the YC/BC also share with the Boardwalk and Swan/Dolphin -- this happened to me once when I stayed at the Dolphin in September, after peak season was over. It wasn't too bad, but it did make the trip a bit long. And while I know all of those resorts are close, it does seem kind of ridiculous to make 5 different hotels share the same transportation.

First off let me say that I loved our stay at the YC in January 09.

Now with that said, I will say that I absolutely hated the bus service for the YC,BC,BW resorts. There is one bus that serves these three resorts as well as the Dolphin and Swan. There was not a single time we were able to get on a bus to go anywhere that the bus was not packed with every seat full, dozens of people lined up down the aisles and parents holding kids on laps or holding them while standing. There should have been more buses serving the resorts. One bus serving 5 resorts was a little too much.

I just returned yesterday from our first Christmas in WDW and stayed at the WL; even though it was busy I don't think it was as packed as our visit to WDW in January during "slow season" at the YC. I have no complaints with this recent visit.

I'm sure I'll get flamed for saying not all was magical at WDW, but oh well. :goodvibes

We really liked our stay at the BC in January. Access to Epcot, the Studios and the Boardwalk was terrific. However, of all the resorts we have stayed at, access to the MK was slowest at BC. Very long bus ride both days we went to the MK. AK was pretty much average compared to other resort experiences. We'd stay there again, but we'll wait until our kids are older and less focused on MK.
