My husband-to-be and I will be arriving in Orlando at 4:50 and taking the DME to POFQ. We would like to check in, then hit the MK for EMH. My question is: how often do the buses run from POFQ to the parks? I am hoping the wait-time is not TOO long!!!!

They post that the busses run every 20 minutes, but I found that the ones for Magic Kingdom and Epcot ran more often.

HTH!!

It will be close to 6 by the time you get to the resort, then check in. Since you didn't state whether it's AM or PM, if it's PM I'd head to DTD rather than MK. Assuming you are arriving on an EMH night at MK the plan you have would work well. You could always change to a park that has the EMH night too. I also wouldn't stress that much about buses. Unless you rent a car, you have only taxis to rely on. I'd rather put up with the lines than getting lost at WDW. It's just one less thing to stress about while there, for me anyway. Others might feel differently. But keep in mind the buses are the best way to get to MK. They park closer and you only have to board a bus. With any other form you must either take the monorail to the TTC, then get to your car or ferry to your car at the TTC.

We have stayed several times at PO-FQ and never had to wait longer than 10-15 minutes for a bus. The buses are more frequent in the mornings (everyone is going to the parks) and less frequent in the afternoon/evenings until park closing. We really liked the French Quarter because buses picked up there first and dropped off there first coming back from the parks. The only complaint I have about the PO buses are that they are at the end of the station at all of the park bus terminals. It seemed like foverver when you are tired from walking around 2 parks on a park hopper ticket. The only time the buses really get taxed are at the end of Illuminations at Epcot and at the close of the Magic Kingdom after the fireworks.
