I was thinking the exact same thing! And those fake babies are WAY creepy.....

What about the statement that "any bus driver would be terminated if (s)he was involved in any fight?"

Lots of things get "thrown around" on the web.

(Including, apparently, a flung baby... another bit of wild news.)

Either the reporting by the news service is incorrect, or some of the wild info
found in these kind of flash-fire threads is incorrect...
or some of BOTH.

They lied. Not the poster on the Dis, but the person that put it on the site that the Diser got it from.

yeah, I went back through the pages and read the posters update....that's crazy that SO wasn't contacted....the man should have been arrested for attacking the bus driver

I am the one who posted the information from the other site and I was just wondering how do you know that the person lied? I was just wondering if myabe he/she had addmitted to posting false info on the other site and I missed seeing that .
I feel bad about posting it now if it wasn't true but that poster has always given really good info so I fiqured they were right on this too.

Actually, I had a "close call" with something like that. I have an absolutely gorgeous porcelain collector's doll. It's not of a baby, but it's about the size of a toddler. I was taking it to a friends' for her to admire on my vacation. So, following another friends' suggestion of how to protect it on the plane ride, I dressed it in a toddler's snow suit. Nicely padded, easy to carry, only the exquisite eyes showed.

Well, all through the airport, and in the restaurant, I kept getting these ugly looks from people. It was the middle of July, mind you. They were looking at me as though I was the cruelest, most neglectful person in the world, carrying this child around in a *snowsuit* in JULY!!!!!

I kept having to say "It's a doll, not a child!" "It's a doll, not a child!" over & over & over again. I was really afraid someone was going to report me to the authorities!

you did nothing wrong in posting it...it seems very believable, but the news stations say SO states they were never contacted about the incident (which boggles my mind) but they say no arrests were ever made

I agree that the poster that copied and posted that message on this thread did nothing wrong except trust their source, however, to those that have inside knowledge, some of it was not believable.

I think Disney bus drivers often take a lot of heat for things that they just can’t control so I am really glad that this bus driver was returned to work .

If I had been on that bus, I would have called 911. Or does Disney reroute those calls? As much as I love WDW, I don't agree with how they handle situations like these sometimes- namely, trying to handle it themselves. What if the guy really freaked out?

We had similar experiences when our niece was in high school when she had
one of those "what's a real baby like to take care of?" dolls from her Sociology/Health class.

She carried the realistic doll with her everywhere (as was the assignment,)
and people would generally look askance at this very young girl with a "baby."

Some would come over and ask to take a closer look at the "little angel," "sweet baby," (etc)
and were shocked and/or embarrassed when they found out that it was just a doll for a class assignment.

Mybe they mean they will be training bus drivers to be able to handle anything that come at you guys. Plus they also said they have radios on the bus which they do but I don't think the attacker will wait for you to call for help then return to attacking you. If you see him at work please let him know we thank him for protecting the bus and doing the right thing.
