Does anyone have any info? :confused3 Has anyone been there lately. We are going to Disney in OMG less than 2 weeks and I was thinking of trying Busch Gardens. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Kelly

we were down this past June and 16 year old grand daughter loved it she loves animals and the roller coasters were awesome she said, I tend to want to keep my feet on the ground. I did ride two water rides that totally soaked me and I do mean totally I have never rode anything like it that made you so wet. we stayed at the embassy right next to the college and they shuttled you back and forth you called them when you wanted to go and again when you were ready to leave the park, they also would take you to the mall all for free. If we had time this trip we would go back.

If you buy the combo SW and BG pass they shuttle you to BG and back for free from about 4 stops in Orlando. It gives you about 7 hours in the park. Their website gives a lot of good info on all the rides and attractions and animals, etc. I would check that out.

we loved we went on our last trip we hadn't been for 8 yrs and finally got back there. the rhino rally really cool, different to KS more of a thriller. there's plently of rollercoaster, i chickened out of shakira thou, that was the only ride that had more than a 5-10min wait in august time, the park was virtually empty. we also payed extra bout $35 for the giraffe sarfari which was really cool we were out for about an hour, in a open truck feeding the giraffe it was so cool, and looking at all the other animals.

if you don't like rollercoasters, there's ot much for you to do really, and we felt there was really many animals, but the elephants are well close to you when your just viewing them

i would really recommend it

We went in Sept for the first time. It was included in our admission to DC. This was our first trip visiting a non-Disney park. We enjoyed BG. :goodvibes We were there on a Wed. and it wasn't crowded at all. We did expect it to be a little cooler than WDW (temp wise) however it was really hot that day. :sunny:. Luckily, the park has giant mister fans located all over the park that you can walk right up to and get (heavily) misted. They were great. :cloud9: I would have like to ride more of the coasters but we had to leave a little early to meet up with my DNiece who was coming in as a surprise to my DD8 to join us on our trip. I wanted to ride Montu (coaster) as several people in the park said it was the best coaster there but it was pretty far away from where we were and it was a long, hot walk.

We too enjoyed the Rhino Rally. It was pretty cool. I rode Skeikra twice-it was a blast. We did alot of walking that day. And did I mention it was hot? ;)

Also, just a personal observation, but I found most of the employees at BG to be, how should I say this, a little unfriendly? Of course, being used to Disney CMs I guess most park employees do suffer in comparison. Also, I didn't feel as comfortable leaving our stroller (used mostly for carrying our things, not for DD, then 7) unattended. They have signs all over the park telling you not to leave anything unattended.

The park grounds are beautiful. Very nice.

Oh, and one final thing, don't bother riding their log ride (Stanley Falls Flume) it was pretty lame :confused3 and all we did was get drenched on the last drop.

I plan on writing a TR on it but haven't gotten around to it yet (along with Discovery Cove, which was amazing!:woohoo: )

I would go back-especially if it was included in another park's admission.

Best coaster park in the Southeast.3 top tier rides in Shiekra,Montu and Gwazi and 1 older one Kumba that still rocks.

Katonga is our favorite show there.

Food choices are limited compared to those used to DWs top to bottom availability.

Crowds are more laid back.

I go to busch gardens a lot because i only live about 45 min away.

Lines arent really that long. My favorite rides are cheetah chase and montu. Least favorite ride is long flume becuase you have to wait about an hour and you dont even get wet.

Katonga is a really good show.

Rhino rally is pretty good because you get to go close to the animals like rhinos. But if its more than 30 min wait its not worth it.

Shiekra is a really great ride.

If you have any questions just ask.
