Busch Gardens-much more crowded on weekends?

I am continuing to refine (ok, obsess about) my itinerary for our upcoming October trip.

We are planning one day to visit Busch Gardens. After our recent itinerary changes, it would be best for us to visit BG on a Saturday. But I'm just wondering if the crowds are likely to be significantly higher on a Saturday versus a weekday.

To be more specific, our likely choices are:

Friday October 24th (less convenient for the rest of the itinerary); or
Saturday October 25th (more convenient, but possibly much more crowded)

What do you all recommend? If you had to guesstimate, what percentage higher are the crowds likely to be on that Saturday vs. that Friday? 10%? 25%? 50%?

Busch Gardens probably gets more locals than say the Disney parks and locals visit the parks more on weekends,so yes Saturdays are busier.Also you'll be going on a weekend in October so you'll be going on Howl-O-Scream night which means the park will be closing earlier than normal,probably around 5pm.The crowds will probably be a bit heavier during the day due to the event but nowhere as busy as they'll be at night.If this event is your kind of thing I would find a way to do it,It's a must for me.The event itself is not as glitzy as Halloween Horror nights at Universal,but in my opinion most of the houses are just as good.

Thanks for your reply. We don't have any interest in the Halloween event, since we're travelling with 2 really little ones. Just trying to see Busch Gardens during the day.

I'm really wondering if it's worth it to move our itinerary so that we can go to BGT on a Friday -trying to figure out if the payoff in lower crowds will be worth it.

Any other opinions?
