Not sure if I am posting the right place! Figured I could start here.

We are going to to go to BG on 1/2/16. We have never been. Any suggestions on order to ride things? (Our kids are 20 and 16.) We are used to getting to Disney at rope drop and always have a "plan". I'm stressed not having any idea in what order to do rides. Or, even know what are the most popular rides and attractions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The parking lot will not open until 30 minutes prior to opening, so don't do the Disney thing and get there way early.
We always head to Cheetah Run and do it twice first thing. The other really popular ride is Sheikra. We do rides early, then see the animals. Even if it is cold, go towards the ride like Kali River Rapids. They have a big exhibit of adorable little monkeys at the entrance/que of ride. Nearby are tigers and other animals that are fed late morning. The keepers actually throw whole chickens in and it is interesting to watch. We do not ride the train at Disney but love the one at BG because it goes through animal areas. There is a baby white rhino that was born in October that is pretty cute.
You can't bring backpacks or any bag on several of the rides. You have to pay for a locker at the ride. If you have a refillable mug or hat, they have cubby holes at the ride you can store them. My husband wears cargo shorts there with lots of pockets. I bring one of those lightweight cinch bags and carry it with phone/stuff in it then put all in his pocket for rides. The cost of locker adds up plus the hassle of backtracking to get your stuff.
We usually eat at the German restaurant which has a Biergarten show. It is not just German food and we time meal to showtime.
It is much more laid back than Disney. Do get there early because like Disney, by noon it will be more crowded.

When you enter , pick up a park map or several ( they will get crushed & Wet ) .

Make your way Right to Cheetah run & the coaster just beyond it.

Head back but take the SKY Lift to the other end ,passing over the Safari area.

Take a trip into the ,so called ,children's area.....and Try the 360 degree Swing Boat .

Falcons Fury .... if you are up to it & other Coasters.

Then DO the Log Flume AND as you are already Wet ....... & enjoying it ... Go on

to the Rapid Water ..... Enjoy the people on the bridge ..getting splashed .

AND as you are wet take the Rapid Water ride.

Your day is nearly over as you make your way to exit.

Thank you for your post. My husband and I are going to BG for the first time this June. I wondered about going during the week vs. the weekend. Are the crowds a bit tamer?
