Hi

Does anyone know if Busch do special events for Halloween. I know Sea World do.

Can anyone help. :cool1:

Hi Heather,

It didn't seem like many people could help when a similar question was asked before - hopefully someone will be able to help this time :)

There is a little info on this thread

Busch Gardens do "Howl-O-Scream" nights, which are very similar to the Universal "Halloween Horror Nights" as far as I've heard. They open the park back up about an hour after the regular close time to people who have bought special tickets. There's haunted houses and scare zones much like HHN - definately not one if you've got kids under 12 or don't like being scared out of your skin!

However if you're only planning to go to BG during the day, the park is just as it normally would be, as the haunted house areas are roped off so you can't access them. There might be some Halloweeny decor up, but you wouldn't notice much difference between it and a normal day to be honest.

Check out www.howloscream.com for details of the 2005 ticket prices - I guess the 2006 site will go up later in the year.

Howl'O'Scream is excellent the year we went it was probably better than HHN at Uni BUT it was a long day! Obviously because of the distance we went to the park during the day & then stayed at night & by the end of it we wre well & truly goosed!! Also that year the event was fairly well spread out all over the park so there was a lot more walking involved than HHN.As for age that depends our DS started going to them at 7 & has always been fine

I have been for the last 2 years and also think that it is better than HHN. Its not as slick in the houses but they do a better job of trying to get you. I have only been made to flinch once in HHN but had quite a few at Busch. Last year they also did the shuttle from Orlando especially for the howloscream. You got there just before opening and I think the pick up was about midnight.
Strangely the nights seemed really busy but the houses were only short queues. A complete opposite to HHN where if you dont have an express pass it can be anything up to 2 hours on some houses.

Well worth it in my opinion but I would also say it is potentially more intense than HHN so think carefully if you are going to take the kids. Oh yes.... and its a huge park and you will be tired!

can you pay extra to stay on once you're in the park like HHN stay & scream ticket, if so any idea how much ?

Hi Henry ,yes exactly the same as HHN you can pay to stay, the year we done it I think that it was $25 extra but I would expect it to have gone up but still be cheaper than a single entry, the only down side to that of course is if they have sold their allocation on the day you want to stay! I pre booked our tickets on one of our trips (full price) & just printed my tickets off at home. As well as the houses you also get the chance to do the likes of Montu & Kumba in the dark!!
