Busch Gardens back to DTD?

Ok, so here's the story. We have our Busch Gardens tickets and the transport is included.
But the journey takes almost 2 hours to get to BG. We don't want to stay over. As we're going in July, the park is open til 10pm so we were hoping to stay until around 8pm in order to fit all the big coasters in. No shows.

The BG Shuttle Express tends to leave at 6pm. This is really not convenient for us, So I was wondering if anyone knew how much a taxi back to DTD would be, or if there are any companies who'll give a flat rate?

I tend to doubt it. A cab would be pretty expensive...it is over an hour away. If there were a cheap, inexpensive way to get there, from WDW, I would be all over it. My ds lives in Tampa and I have to rent a car to get over to see him when in WDW. I would say that you are either going to have to leave early, on that shuttle, or rent a car for the day.

According to Taxi Fare Finder at http://www.taxifarefinder.com/ the estimated fare from Busch Gardens Tampa Bay to Downtown Disney is $159.73 ($183.69 incl. 15% tip) using Tampa, FL taxi rates. "The trip is 69.5 mi and will take 1 hour 20 mins."

Because you are leaving the Tampa area and driver will have to head back with an empty cab, the fare could be much higher. For example, if you take a Chicago city cab to the Chicago suburbs, the meter fare is automatically doubled.

Yeah, we've decided to give it a miss.
Not worth the hassle, and none of us have a drivers licence or one that's valid.

Happylimo charges $177 for transportation from a Disney hotel to Tampa Airport. Busch Gardens is closer so the rate shouldn't be any higher. More then I'd want to spend but much less then double the taxi fare listed by a PP.

The return time for the shuttle is based on park closing. Are you sure the bus leaves at 6p days the park closes at 10p?

As far as I can get from different people telling different stories, it might be 6pm or 7pm. Still not enough time I don't think.
