Bus transportation is terrible!

I'll have to disagree with you on this one. Most ECV riders/drivers are pretty good.
We can agree to disagree--many of the scooters are rented, so how experienced are these drivers? Do they practice beforehand?--I witnessed a scooter gone wild by accident hitting an adult while on line at character m&g, and if it would have hit a small child they would have been hurt pretty badly--I am glad we were behind her on line and not in front of her (2 small children with us).

But utopia only exists in theory. There are trade-offs throughout life. Onsite shared transportation is available to everyone onsite at no extra cost. It will get each guest where tgey want to go, but for personalized transportation there are taxis and Über.

Again, Über. No, you can't pay with your Magic Band, but you also can't pay with cash. Download the app.

Do you really want Disney to start or purchase a taxi company?
No, I want a hot dude to show up with his flying carpet and cater to my every whim! What kind of world is this that I can't have everything I want all the time?

Yes, most are rented. And no, most people aren't that practiced on them. BUT.....I've been nailed more times by strollers than by ECVs. I've sported nasty bruises from being rammed by huge strollers! And nary an apology was forthcomiing!! One mother actually told me to watch where I was going....seriously? I was walking down the street, she hit me from behind because she was following too closely...nailed my foot/ankle!!!
I have also seen people that are not in full control of ECVs. One poor man kept apologizing for his mother...seems she had just rented the darn thing and was having trouble backing it up....her son tried telling her that the line for Candlelight Processional probably wasn't the best place to practice it!!! We all gave her a wide berth.
I well remember being at the Pirates and Princesses Party years ago. There was a hugely long, winding line to meet Capt Jack Sparrow. It was crazy!! There was a woman on an ECV that was doing very well...she had to be in the line, no other way to access the Capt! But, after about an hour of being in line, she started feeling ill! It was hot and miserable in that line. The only way for her to leave her family, in that line, was to go back the way she had come in! That poor thing had to turn the ECV around, in a very narrow area, and then barge back through that long line to get out to the fresh air!!! You should have heard the grumblings from the other guests as she kept excusing herself, trying not to hit anyone! She was obviously very well practiced on her ride!!! But others just didn't much care and made it very difficult for her to move back outside!

And stroller operators have virtually no excuse. If the stroller occupant is more than a month or two old, the parent is experienced.

The large size of the park means not only means there are a lot of inexperience ECV drivers that could walk a smaller venues, but there are also caregivers pushing older children that haven't riden in a stroller in years. Often that means they are pushing double strollers, while at home they are down to a single stroller. These unwieldy strollers are hard to manuver, and it wouldn't surprise me if a large number of stroller operators have never attempted to steer something that big and heavy before.
