Bus Transportation at CSR... how is it?

We are heading down to CSR in December and for the first time in 11 trips we are NOT renting a car.

I'm a little nervous about relying 100% on Disney's buses to get to and from the theme parks.

Any experience with the bus service from CSR? Tips?

If it is your first time trying Disney transportation, you picked the right resort to try it with!

I was at CSR in June with my daughter, and we found the transportation to be awesome! Frequent busses, never full. I think the fact that this is a convention resort works to your favor here, since many of the people using the rooms are not travelling to the parks. In 5 days the only time I saw people standing on the bus was after MK fireworks - when we were at POP, we stood often! Even the trip from DTD (notoriously long at many resorts) took only 15 minutes.

It does take 5-7 minutes to stop at all the stops within the resort, but I was prepared and it didn't bother me.

BTW, we loved our room location - Cabanas 8A. So close to the bus stop, and very quiet.

CSR is a lovely resort!

any idea how long the trip is to DTD... we will be flyin into MCO around 5:45pm, checkin in at CSR.. and have dinner ressies at DTD Rainforest Cafe at 9:15pm...

Just wondering if we would do any better just calling for a cab when we checkin...
How strict are the taxis with children in carseats?? the Thought of some dirty carseat makes me shiver! YUCK!
