THIS IS A QUESTION FOR EVERYONE THAT HAS STAYED ON DISNEY PROPERTY. WE ARE GOING NEXT JUNE AND STAYING AT POFQ. IF WE TAKE THE BUS TO THE MAGIC KINGDOM, DOES THE BUS GO TO THE MONORAIL AND THEN THE MONORAIL TAKE YOU TO THE MAGIC KINGDOM OR DOES THE BUS GO STRIGHT TO THE ENTRANCE OF THE MAGIC KINGDOM??? I WANT TO RIDE THE MONORAIL, SO I WANT TO MAKE SURE THERE IS NO CONFUSION ON THIS. THANKS EVERYONE!!! :wave2:

Hi and welcome to the DIS!

Disney resort buses bypass the monorail and let you off close to the main entrance. You'll still have to walk a few minutes to get from the bus sdtop to the gates, but you won't need any other transportation!

You can, however, ride the monorail anytime you want to, as long as it is running!

Enjoy your trip,

Bob

The bus takes you directly to the entrance. No monorail involved. We stay at the Wilderness Lodge and usually take to boat to MK. But we always have to go over to the CR so we can ride the monorail. We feel like our trip is just not complete if we don't ride the monorail at least once. We usually start at the CR and ride it around one full loop and then get off. Have fun! :flower:

Since you are staying at POFQ, the only transportation you have is buses. The buses will drop you off at the theme and water parks. I believe you can take a boat to the DTD area, but if not then a bus will be provided for that area, too. You can ride the monorail at any time, but don't expect to ride it to get to the MK or Epcot. Since you say you want to ride the monorail you can always ride it to the MK from Epcot or vice versa. However, if you do plan to visit two parks in one day, make sure you have the Park Hopper Ticket. Also, realize that buses do not provide transportation from resort to resort (ie. POFQ to CR, or any other resort)

Another fun way to add in a monorail ride (and yes I know this will take a little time but if your a monorail lover it could be fun :earsboy: ) would be to take the bus to Epcot from the resort then hop on the Monorail from Epcot to the TTC and then monorail or boat from TTC to the Magic Kingdom.

We stayed at the CBR so we had no direct connection to the monorail. Our kids really wanted to ride it so we split one day between Epcot and MK and took the monorail from Epcot to the travel center (whatever it is called) and then from there to MK.
