I am really looking for some advice from anyone who has stayed at Saratoga Springs before. We are staying in mid September 2010 and requested to stay in the Springs area (for my daughter to be close to the pool and me for the fitness center). I realize that request might not be granted, BUT I am just a little nervous after reading many of the reviews. From what I have read, the Springs section is the last pick up and people have noted that you will always be standing on the busses if you are even lucky enough to get on the bus since the resort is so large and picks up at 4 other sections within SSR prior.

Has anyone stayed here in the Springs section and found this to be true where the busses were already full when they got there? I was also looking at the Grandstand area but cannot tell on the map how far of a walk it would be to get to the main pool and fitness center. Any suggestions\words of advice?

Thanks!

Yes Springs is the last stop and the buses may be full enough by the time they get there that you may have to stand. They are not always full unless you are going at peak time or you are trying to get to the parks at opening. We went Easter week and stayed Congress Park and the buses were full by the time they got to that stop. :rotfl: We were there 2 months ago and I never saw the Springs stop have to deal with already full buses.

I have stayed at all sections at SSR except for Carousel and I don't find the walk to the main pool, food areas, spa to be more than 7 minutes. Grandstand is about 5 minutes and is the first stop within the resort and has a nice quiet pool/children's play area.

We stayed in the Paddock Section, but we were in the building right on the main drag. We were right across from the Congress Park bus stop, so we always used that stop. We did notice that a lot of times people at the Springs stop could not fit on. We never had a problem at the Congress Park stop though. Even though it seems far, it was actually perfect and less than a 5 minute walk from the main building. We loved the location!

We have stayed at SSR 3 times and always requested (and received) the Congress Park area. You have a great view of DD and it is not an unreasonable walk to the main pool. We have never had to stand on a bus even at Thanksgiving. I don't recall about the Springs...sorry.
