Bus service for Port Orleans?

So the deciding factor for us to stay at Port Orleans is transportation to and from the parks. Naps are necessary for our 5 year old. We have never experienced the skyliner.
So my question is…how is the bus service for transportation? The only resort we have to compare it to is Pop and we went before the skyliner was available.
Thanks so much!
Pofq is easier with busing than POR just based on number of stops and resort sizes.
We used to jump on the monorail with the stroller, put a cover over and nap time was easy lol. Wed pop over to a poly n relax with a drink or snack for an hour or so n head right back to MK. we just found that taking buses back to nap was literally a 3 hour time filler between transport and a small nap window. So at Epcot n MK we did the monorail, lol.

We have stayed at POR several times with toddlers and younger kids. That said we always rope dropped the parks because my kids were used to being up earlier and then come back mid-day for naps/rest/swimming time before heading back out for the evening most days. I remember it being helpful that most of the POR bus stops pre-pandemic were closer when walking out of the parks than some of the other hotels--and that was a bonus personally. Having to transfer kids from the stroller to get on the bus can be a hassle but as long as you have another adult to collapse and uncollapse the stroller if you have a sleeping kid that can be helpful. We did find that getting on at the main south depot stop in the morning helped with getting seats when the buses were crowded. This often worked out because we could pass through the food court for coffee, breakfast and to fill up our mugs on the way out for the morning.

Sometimes you will have to wait a bit for a bus---but in the three times we stayed at POR there aren't any times that stand out being so significant. The bonus about POR is that you have the boat to DS too. I remember not having to collapse my stroller a few times when the boats were incredibly busy which was kinda nice.

On a side note--my kids have always loved the slide at the pool, the playground is a nice plus to wear them out and we had no complaints about the food court. It was actually nice having the food court when your plans got derailed or you needed to head back early for lunch/dinner due to our LO's needing a nap/rest. There was always food options that worked for both my kids and my husband and I.

I recently stayed at POFQ and thought the bussing worked well for us. We also left the park for a midday break.
