Bus Service Between Resorts

Do the Disney buses transfer between Disney resorts? I am thinking they just take you to the parks.

That being the case, what is the best way to get to another resort for dinner - such as GF or CR from the BWI.

Would you take a bus from BWI to MK and then take the monorail to GF or CR. Do you have to transfer at the TTC?

If you're staying at the BWI, yes take the bus to MK and hop on the RESORT monorail. The resort monorail stops at the CR, TCC, Poly, GF and then back to MK.

There is always the option of waking or taking the boat to MGM. There you can get a bus to any resort.

Bus from BWI to MK (not TTC) then Monorail to GF or CR (you could always hoof it from MK entrance over to CR too). You can also take a cab, but the bus works pretty well if you catch it right. As for the return, you'll do the reverse: monorail to MK entrance then find the Epcot resorts loop bus stop (S/D, YC/BC, BW).

Heading over to MGM to catch the CR or GF bus fro there might work even better for the way over. But on the way back, MGM could be closed already, so the monorail to MK entrance to the bus might be best for that leg.

Hi,

The bus system is not really set up to move people from one resort to another in an efficient manner. You can get there from here but it can take a while.

The quickest way from the BWI to the GF or CR is to drive or take a cab.

If you are not willing/able to do one of those then yes you can take the bus to the MK and then walk over to the CR or take the monorail over to the CR or the GF. The only thing here is if you are going in the off season when the MK closes early and you are doing a late dinner the bus option might not be avaiable.

Thanks for the great ideas everyone!

We will probably take a bus to MK from the BWI on the way there and take the monorail over to the other resorts. We have PS at 1900 PF one night and CG another night.

The suggestion to go to MGM first and take a bus from there is also good, but is it hard to figure out when the bus we want will depart from MGM?

And I never even thought that the buses don't run after the parks close. MK and MGM will probably be closed by the time we finish dinner.

So we will either take a taxi back or take the monorail to Epcot and go through there on our way back if everyone is up to it.

Does the monorail from CG or GF go directly to Epcot or do we have to transfer at the TTC?

In getting to the FLoridian, it may be quicker to take the *boat* from MK, rather than the monorail. The boat goes directly to the GF, while the monorail takes the long way around.

It's a nice ride - I always enjoy it.

The monorail is always a transfer at TTC going from the MK resorts.
