I have been reading up on the Lynx bus timetables. Do these buses get onto Disney proerty? Can you use them as a way of getting to and from I-Drive from Disney?

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve,

Never noticed the Lynx buses on the Disney roads - have a funny feeling they maybe don't go there but never looked into it before as usually have a hire car.

Another option would be to get from International Drive to Downtown Disney and then hop on whichever Disney bus (resort or park) that you want to. The Disney buses won't cost a thing either :)

Hi Tracey

Thanks for that, I have just done a bit of reading, it seems that the lynx buses do go to and from Disney but only to the TTC (transportation and ticket centre)

So the question now is, where is that? and how would we get to it from POR

Thanks again

Steve

Hi Steve,

TCC is at the main carpark for Magic Kingdom - you park your car then go there and have the option of monorail or ferry across to MK and the surrounding resorts.

I think you will need to get the Disney Bus from POR to MK then monorail or ferry back over to TCC. The resort buses get straight through to MK main gate area rather than going through TCC. We have never stayed at POR but think bus is the only way to MK.

Someone else will correct me if there is a better way I am sure :)

Lynx bus route 50 goes from the TTC to Seaworld. The I-Ride trolley bus goes from Seaworld to I-Drive :)

The TTC is across the lake from MK.

To get to the TTC from POR you will need to get a bus to either MK or Epcot and then get the monorail to the TTC (or the boat from MK to the TTC).

To get from POR to TTC I would probably get the bus from POR to MK and then the monoraill to TCC According to the Transportation wizard it takes 37 minutes to do that.

Otherwise a bus to MGM then a bus to TTC takes 43 minutes.

hi there, thanks to all for the info, looks like we can do it then one way or another.

Thanks again

Steve

Steve - I've stayed off site a couple of times and relied on the lynx busses for transport, it all works fine and you soon get used to the timetables, make sure you get a pass for 7 or 14 days though as it'll work out cheaper. we often shared the bus with cast members and everyone was really chatty and nice.

P.S the ticket and transportation centre is the best way of getting into disney - theres absolutely nothing like that first morning when you go through the gates and get on either the ferry or the monorail and cindys castle looms up in the distance in front of you - Magical! :wizard:

Hi Carol

Thanks for that, I did see last night on the net, a 14 day lynx pass is only about 20 dollars or something like that, so probably will.

We are still very keen on the idea of a week in the middle driving down to the tip of the keys, I really need to drive the 7 mile bridge. Plus I can get to be on the webcam at sloppy joes and Duval Street
