Okay...probably dumb but here goes....(asked this in the transportation section too.)

When we last went to WDW...it was 2012 and we stayed at Pop Century. I remember the bus stops to get back to the hotel at night were always one of the farthest away at each park. I'm curious about where the DVC resort buses are when leaving each park. (I know some resorts utilize the sky liner, monorail, and boats so I'm just talking about the ones that require buses.)

Since we'll need to book a studio at the 7-month mark....we'll likely end up at SSR so I definitely want to know where that stop (pick up area) is at each park. But I'm also curious about all of the others as well. Especially the ones from Beach Club, BWV, and Boulder Ridge since those would be our top choices if we ever buy a contract out there.

Or maybe the locations change so this can't even be answered? I don't know. Any info would be great. Thanks!

The values tend to be the farthest out, but from there, the rest is kind of a mix. I always wondered if they did it on purpose so they wouldn’t favor any particular resorts. For example, I remember WL/BR being one of the closest at MK and pretty far out at Epcot. Perhaps someone on the transportation board will be able to post recent photos of the signs.

In general the Deluxe resorts (DVC included) have closer bus stops than moderates or values. SSR will be one of the further deluxes though. Definitely closer than Pop or the All Stars though.

Golden oak seems to be first a lot ( I wonder why) - A CM told me it is randomized and not by price they are sorted at times by volume to adjust for congestion (SSR not next to AK). - VGF can be in the back. RR was in the back at AK on my last trip. To me, it only matters at Disney Springs because that walk to the second row sucks.

Good to know that stops, in general, should be closer than when we stayed at Pop Century. I know it's not a huge deal but sometimes at the end of the day the last thing I want to do is hoof it to a far away bus stop. Ha!

I wonder why SSR is often the farthest deluxe.

Well, one of them had to be.

I don't know how they decide which resorts bus stops are the farthest away from the park entrances. The All-Stars typically have the farthest stops in general, probably because they often use the articulated buses and need more space.

The Deluxe resorts are typically closer but that is not universally true. AKL's stop is before Pop Century but in terms of actual walking, it's farther than Pop Century at Magic Kingdom

I doubt that there is a rule that returning bus stations for moderates and value resorts are necessarily further away than others. What I do know is that the BW bus stations at MK and AK are among those that have a long walk (not to the very end but not very far from it).
