Bus or rental car?

I need some suggestions please:

We (4 different groups) arrive on a Sunday various times between 11:30 & 12:30. We are planning on meeting up at the hotel, my MIL is renting a car from MCO. The group has decided to go to Magic Kingdom for a couple of hours, but the ladies of the group are going to leave around 5:30 ish to go to Prime outlet and Publix to grab some stuff. What do you suggest we do – all take the bus from Pop and then the 4 of us take the bus back then head out in the car, or do we get my MIL (plus someone to go with her) to drive to MK and then the 4 of us leave from there?

What is the easiest & fastest way for us?

Have MIL take the car to MK, you'll save a great deal of time.

I personally would take the bus. You have a group and it would be best to have the flexibility of using the buses and plan to meet back at the resort at a certain time. After travelling, some may not want to be in the park as long as other or not at all.

Also the car has to be parked at the TTC so you would still need to catch the monorail or ferry to reach your MIL vehicle.

Public and Prime Outlets close late, so I would allow for flexibility and not to plan too much in that first day.

There are bound to be some hiccups and the best plan is to allow for them.
