Bus or boat from WL to MK?

Which is the quickest and easiest way to travel from WL to MK? Bus or boat? Any tips or experiences would be appreciated.

We prefer the boat, but just because it is a nice change of pace - you have to take the bus to go everywhere else.

I think it depends on which route the boat takes. If it goes direct, the time spent is probably the same. If it needs to go to Ft Wilderness first, then the boat maybe a bit longer.

Boat!! The view is one-of-a-kind and great for photo ops. Plus, the boats come continuously and the buses do not. You will get sick of buses by the time your trip is over too.

Before 3:00 pm the boat goes from WL to MK and the trip takes about 10 minutes. After 3:00 pm the boat goes from WL to FW to MK this would take maybe 25 minutes.

I would go with the boat too. It's a nice ride and a nice change of pace.

We loved the boat. It may not have been the fastest way but it was sure the nicest. We stayed there in May when our DGD was 15 months old and she still remembers it. When we ask her if she wants to go to Disney, she smiles and says "ride the boat!" We were watching the planning video recently and she saw the boat and said, "Disney!".

If you take the to the MK you can then ride the monerial to the TTC and then get on the monerail to Epcot. It sure beats the bus any day in our book.

The Boat hands down. It was my family's time to regroup, focus and realize how lucky we were to be at WDW together. Magical.

Just so you know, the boat to the MK doesn't start until half an hour before the park opens, so there's a huge line right before the park opens. The bus starts an hour before. The boat the the CR starts at 7 am everyday. We actually would take the boat to the CR and monorail to the MK, because we love the monorail. We'd just leave really early (7:40ish?) and be at the gates before the park opens. The bus is probably the quickest way to get to the park if you want to be there before opening, or if you need to be there early for an ADR or something, since they pack you in like sardines, and they start running earlier. In the morning the MK boat picks up at Fort Wilderness first, so it may be crowded before it even gets to the Lodge, and they do have a capacity limit.

I vote boat, but agree research the timing, sometimes it gets packed.
If you have reservations you need to make sure you sschedule a little wait for the boat time.
