Bus line up at the parks

We are staying at AKL in August for the first time. I am wondering if anyone can tell me approximately where AKL bus falls into the line up at the parks? Do they change the line up at the parks? It always seems what ever resort we stay at our bus seems to be the farthest from the park. Thanks.

Ah ha! You're the culprit! I must always stay at the same resort you're at.

Seriously, this changes all the time and will be different from park to park. Even if somebody told you what the order is today, it may not be the same when you go.

At Epcot, it's very close to the front, and it was close to the front at MK but that has been worked on recently so I'm not sure where it is now.
There is rhyme or reason to which resorts are where in the bus line up at the parks. You may be very close to a park entrance at one park but the furthest away at another. And being in a deluxe vs value resort doesn't much matter.
While they can change the stops for each resort, it really doesn't happen all that often. I know that we have always gone to the same numbered stop for BW each time..and that is over the past 8 years or so. Same with POR and Pop. THey just haven't changed.

In the three years that we have been going (and we go several times a year), the bus stops at each park for heading back to the resort have been the same. The line up at each park is different though. Pop always is the furthest away from the park exit at Epcot and MK but not at HS or AK.

I can tell you at AK that bus stop was #9 as of Wednesday 6/1. There are two "aisles" of bus stops. #9 is the furthest out on aisle #1 (closest to the park).
