Bus from Pop question?

This is our first trip staying on property and using Disney transportation. We have a split stay booked, AKL and Pop. How much time do I need to allow to arrive at the Magic Kingdom for rope drop when using the bus? Thanks!

If you walk up to the MK bus stop just as the bus arrives, and you are able to get on, it will take about 15-20 mins to get to MK. But, if the bus has just left when you arrive, you may wait another 15-20 mins for the next bus.

I would allow extra time in case the first bus that arrives fills up before I can get on. Getting to the bus stop one hour before rope drop seems like a good strategy to start with.
