I was wondering if they had a layaway? A Burlington Coat Factory just opened up in a neighboring town, and I stopped in a couple of weeks after it opened it checked it out. I was looking more at what they had more then anything else.

Then last night DH tells me that his cousin and his wife put a crib and changing table on layaway at BCF. Could they be hiding the layaway from me when I went in there? :confused3 :rotfl: I have to admit, I could spend alot of money in that place if DH let me. That day I was there, I already found DD's winter coat, but controled myself from getting it.

TIA!!!

Ours does, but it's not really labeled it's just a small room in the back of the store by the bathrooms. you kinda have to know it's there.

Yes, it's at the customer service desk but the percentage and the fee they charge make me not want to use it. That and the fact that they only give merchandise credits for returns.

I did get most of my baby stuff from there after much research so I knew I would not be returning anything.

A word of caution. They only give STORE CREDIT if you return something. So if spending alot, make sure it's something you won't be returning.

I currently hold a $100 store credit for Burlington Coat Factory.

And don't you have a really small time to do it in, too? Like only 14 days to return? And then only for credit? I love BCF selection and prices, but sometimes things are still in the bag after 14 days at my house  so if I go there, I have to make sure I try everything quickly to see if it's going to work, then make sure to take things back the next day if necessary. If I don't, I'll forget and be stuck with it!

I don't know about layaway but I find the most incredible bargains there. I got a Jones New York suit for $60. I got a really pretty long black skirt that can be dressed up or down for $12!! ANd I've had it 3 years, worn it many times, still looks great. I LOVE that place.

Thanks so much everyone!!!

I thought for sure DH miss understood his cousin about putting stuff on layaway at BCF.

The time I went was my first time in a BCF and just after 5 minutes, I was hooked. LOL!!!

Thanks again!!!

Their return policy is exactly why I do NOT buy gifts there. Actually, I rarely buy anything there unless I know for absolute sure that I will keep it and use it. I really detest merchandise credits. (Of course, I know it's reasonable for a store to have 'merchandise credits' for things like returns without receipts, returns after a certain time period, etc.).

I refuse to shop there because of their store policy on returns. It's ridiculous IMO and makes me wonder what kind of stuff they are selling when they won't even take it back with a receipt and it unused ;)

The one by us closed - it was rarely shopped at anymore.

But I do remember they had layaway but charge a lot for fees involved and you can't return anything in the end.
